コロンバス公演から5日後の7月9日は、カナダのケベック州での公演でした。この日も泥酔モードか？と思えばさにあらず。序盤で早くも演奏した「Layla」～「Have You Ever Loved A Woman」の流れでは非常に切れ味の鋭いフレーズを畳み掛けており、これぞ、クラプトンというプレイを聴くことができます。これらをはじめ、彼らしいプレイが数多く耳にすることの出来る公演でした。珍しいのは、ドミノス時代にデュエイン・オールマンとセッションしたブルース「Mean Old World」をプレイしていることです。この曲はこの全米ツアーではたった2回しか演奏されませんでしたので、非常にレアな日だったと言えます。しかもドミノス時代とはまったく異なるシャッフル・バージョンで演奏しているところが聴きものです。ジョージ・テリーにスライドをプレイさせながら、クラプトンはぐいぐいシャープなソロを決めています。「Presence Of The Lord」はブリッジ部からスタートしているなど、レアなアレンジも聴かれますが、各曲とも丁寧にきちんと気を入れて演奏されている印象です。好演が随所にあり、酒の影響が感じられない日。それが「QUEBEC 0709」です。音質は高音質サウンドボードで収録のため誰にでもおすすめ出来るレベルです！
