The master excavation project of the legendary master Mike Millard, which is being continued every day. The latest recording of Elton John’s masterpiece is here.
It is “October 5, 1974 Inglewood performance” that is imbued with such a work. It is the best audience recording. Speaking of 1974, it is in the midst of the golden age when “Caribbean” achieved the feat of being No. 1 in the United States for four consecutive works. It was also a time when “Greatest Hits” recorded an astronomical hit, and “Here and There” and “Captain Fantastic” were also produced in rapid succession, both in terms of popularity and creation. Of course, the tour will continue even if you are so busy. Anyway, let’s first look back on the schedule at that time and confirm the position of the show.

・ February 1-13: Japan (12 performances)
・ February 21-March 18: Oceania (4 performances)
・ May 5-27: UK # 1 (3 performances) ← * Official HERE
<< June 28, “CARIBOU” released >>
・ September 25th-November 4th: North America # 1 (24 performances) ← ★ Coco ★
“November 8” GREATEST HITS “released”
・ November 8th-December 3rd: North America # 2 (20 performances) ← * Official THERE
・ December 20-24: UK # 2 (5 performances)

This is Elton John in 1974. The official live version “Here and There” was produced from two performances in London and New York, but the Inglewood performance of this work is in the middle. The 8th performance of “North America # 1”, about a month before “Greatest Hits”. There were four consecutive performances at “THE FORUM”, the garden of Millard, but it was the third performance.
This work recorded at such a show is a beautiful audience recording that is extremely neat. Speaking of “CARIBOU TOUR”, “BOSTON 1974: JOE MALONEY MASTER (Uxbridge 999)” by another master Joe Maloney has reigned as a masterpiece, but Millard is truly different. It was. Although it has not yet reached the legendary “AKG + Nakamichi” set, this work is superior in all aspects such as the tightness of the core, the sharply sharp edges, and the natural tone. In particular, the luster of the sound and the depth of silence are enormous. “BOSTON 1974” was also a wonderful thing that was out of the ordinary of the 70’s audience, but when you experience the beauty of mirrored recording like mirrored, it feels rough. It’s also a sin-making live album that makes even such a masterpiece unsatisfactory.
Moreover, this work is the highest peak board that further refined such original sound. No matter how talented he is, the 1974 Millard is still in its infancy. Even though I wasn’t very good at it, I couldn’t do the miracle of later years in terms of balance. Therefore, in this work, the sound of the mid-high range, which was a little hard, is loosened, and the swell of the low range is alleviated. It maximizes the potential of the original sound and creates a beautiful live album that is well-balanced in total balance.
The “sound of beauty” with such mirrored magic fully opened is backed by the big hit of “Caribbean” … Rather, it is a treasure chest of super luxurious masterpieces that can be called “live performance version GREATEST HITS”. To explain what that means, let’s feature and organize the legendary best compilation album this time.

● Greatest Hits (9 songs)
・ Rocket Man (I Think It’s Going to Be a Long, Long Time) / Bennie And The Jets / Daniel / Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (★) / Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me / Honky Cat / Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting / Crocodile Rock / Your Song
● Others (10 songs)
・ My song is your song: Take Me To The Pilot
・ Elton John 3: Burn Down The Mission
・ Twilight Brick Road: Funeral For A Friend / Love Lies Bleeding / Candle In The Wind / Gray Seal / All The Girls Love Alice (★)
・ Caribbean: Grimsby (★) / You’re So Static / The Bitch Is Back
・ Others: Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
* Note: The “★” mark is a song that cannot be heard even in the official edition “HERE AND THERE (1995 extended version)”.

… And it looks like this. In terms of data, “Grimsby” and “You’re So Static” are rare songs, but the wavy attack of the hit songs that are more dense and rich is amazing. “Greatest Hits” is a total of 10 songs, but all songs except “Border Song” are shown. Doubled with hit songs. Compared to “HERE AND THERE”, you can enjoy 3 songs that you can’t listen to even with the 2-disc set expanded in 1995. Of course, no matter what you write, it’s a masterpiece, whatever you put out, it’s a hit, whatever you do, it goes well … Such a mood is transmitted from the performance as well. The voice is full of confidence and tension, and the golden members are enjoying the wind of great success with their whole body. It is a glorious music album that envelops a group of famous songs with the momentum and dignity that only young and successful people cultivate.
Exactly “live performance version & extended version GREATEST HITS”. A stage that is richer than that historic best album, has a large volume, and has been upgraded with stage tension. It is a miracle document that you can be present at such a scene with Mike Millard’s magic sound, and a supreme live album that will gorgeously color the deepening autumn night. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content.

Rocket Man (I Think It’s Going to Be a Long, Long Time)/Bennie And The Jets/Daniel/Goodbye Yellow Brick Road(★)/Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me/Honky Cat/Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting/Crocodile Rock/Your Song
Take Me To The Pilot
3:Burn Down The Mission
Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding/Candle In The Wind/Grey Seal/All The Girls Love Alice(★)
Grimsby(★)/You’re So Static/The Bitch Is Back
Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
