DREAM THEATER who has two explosions and a masterpiece “AWAKE” and the popularity has finally exploded. Their soundboard · in Japan which entered the heyday in one stroke appeared.
Engraved in this work is “Tokyo Yoga Anniversary Conference” on January 23, 1995. It is the ultimate live album that made the official sound board of that stake out CD from Odome DAT. In 1995, I came to Japan twice a year, television broadcasting pro shots and official boot legs are also left and a bit cumbersome. First of all, let’s grasp the position of the show on that date.

This is the performance in Japan in 1995. Osaka Sankei Hall performance was canceled because it was the day of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, but the schedule after that was continued. TV broadcasting is Urawa performance, the official bootleg “TOKYO, JAPAN 10/28/95” is my 4th visit to Japan. This work is a complete collection of different shows from both of them. DEFINITIVE OSAKA 1992 (Zodiac 311) released the other day is the first visit to Japan, “DEFINITIVE OSAKA 1993: DAT MASTER (Zodiac 312)” which was released at the same time this week is the second visit to Japan. In contrast, this work is a super masterpiece sound board born from the 3rd visit to Japan.
This show has been known for a long time from the stakeholders’ sound board, but this work is not a copy or a remaster but a CD that was reconverted from Daimen DAT. Not only is it recorded longer than the previous episode, it also has plenty of natural sounds and superb sounds overwhelmingly. These circumstances and upgrading are the same as “DEFINITIVE OSAKA 1992” “DEFINITIVE OSAKA 1993”, but this work is more than that. Although it is not well known, in fact, there was a major drawback in the departure. It’s a stereo feeling. At the time when the episodes came out, the consciousness to CD conversion was low or whether technology was childish, or (left) the left and right stereos were recorded in reverse and the balance was strangely biased.
Of course, there are no such problems in this work. There is no reversal of the left and right, the stereo feeling separately beautifully is very vivid. The stage sound at that time is reborn. This is more than reading in words. Anyway, speaking of the show of DREAM THEATER, everyone is ridiculous and complicated and precise songs develop swiftly. Each performance sound is separated beautifully, and the original dynamism of the song, the real pleasure is demonstrated only when it arrives exactly. The real pleasure that had been scraped off by the already departed sound in which the sound was strangely regaining its original sparkle.
The show drawn with such original DAT · sound is also really wonderful. The first visit to Japan (1992) · The second time (1993) was a style supported by “WHEN DREAM AND DAY UNITE” number with “IMAGES AND WORDS” all songs as the axis, but the main character of this work is course “AWAKE”. Although not all the songs, 8 out of 11 songs of the album are played big on a large scale, about half of “IMAGES AND WORDS” is entwined there. Of course there is also a change in the ensemble, and the keyboard of Derek Sherinian who participated on behalf of Kevin Moore is also screwed into the brain by a do-it-yourself sound board. In 1992 and 1993 it was a minor change stop, but this work, which will be the 3rd visit to Japan, is a completely different world. Although such a show was also talked about in Urawa performance TV broadcast pro shot, this work also includes a cover of “PieK FLOYD’s cover” In The Flesh “. You can fully experience fresh show with ultra superb sound board.

Following “DEFINITIVE OSAKA 1992” and “DEFINITIVE OSAKA 1993”, the third bulletin outflow soundboard. In addition to the original natural DAT sound, the stereo feeling is also vivid. This time the perfect CD conversion has been realized. It is the decision board which confiscated the design in the permanent preservation press 2CD, and it is the famous Daimyo board comparable to the official work “AWAKE” itself. Please, enjoy it as much as you want.

【WAKING UP THE WORLD TOUR JAPAN】

【SPECIAL LIVE IN JAPAN ’95】

初来日(1992年)・2度目(1993年)は『IMAGES AND WORDS』全曲を軸に『WHEN DREAM AND DAY UNITE』ナンバーがサポートするスタイルでしたが、本作の主役はもちろん『AWAKE』。
