長尺のプロショット映像が皆無と言えるAWAKE期に置いて、日本発のこの映像は貴重かつファン必見です。マニアが当時生録し大切に保管していたビデオをマスターとしており、既発映像のコピー、動画共有サイトからのものとは違います。発色、明度、解像度ともに既発のものを遥かに上回るものでこの日の映像の決定版と断言できます。

映像は開演10分前の楽屋からスタートします。プラチナディスクの贈呈式、当時の関係者のインタビューなどが流れ、その後は満員に膨れ上がった開演前の会場を映します。雰囲気たっぷりの映像でライブの始まりを盛り上げます。そしてメンバーが楽屋からステージに登場するシーンまでも流れ、ライブは「Pull Me Under」からスタート。「AWAKE」と「IMAGES AND WORDS」の曲から構成されたセットリストは今となっては貴重かつ懐かしさでいっぱいになります。生中継ながら見事なカメラワークも特筆すべき点です。複雑かつ壮大な楽曲を完璧に捕えたカメラワークは一切乱れることなく、各メンバーのソロも完璧に捕えファンが見たいシーンを完璧に映し出します。このツアーでは風邪による体調不良で不調続きだったジェイムズ・ラブリエのボーカルもこの日はなんとか持ちこたえているといった印象です。楽器陣の演奏は言うまでもなく完璧です。今とは全く違う姿のジョン・ペトルーシ、逆に全く変わらないジョン・マイアングの姿も必見です。この日はジョン・マイアングの28歳の誕生日だったため、途中で誕生日のお祝いをされています。

またこのジャパンツアーはバンド、ファンにとって忘れられない出来事がありました。1月16日と1月17日は2日間連続で大阪公演でしたが1月17日の早朝に阪神大震災が発生。大阪にいたバンドは地震に遭遇します。残念ながらその日の大阪公演はキャンセルになりましたが、バンドは帰国することなくそのままツアーを続け各所で素晴らしいライブを披露し、多くのファンを勇気づけました。この日の生中継を食い入るように見て、そして勇気づけられたというファンが多くいたと聞きます。震災の犠牲者に捧げられた「The Silent Man」は殊更感動的なシーンです。オリジナル・メニュー付きのファン必携映像作品が究極のギフトタイトルとして登場です。
