“DOKKEN’s masterpiece A miracle soundboard album that was highly acclaimed as “True BEAST FROM THE EAST” has been brushed up. It is decided to permanently preserve with the quality that renews the highest peak in history. The masterpiece is engraved with the finest stereo sound board recording of the “April 21, 1988: Yokohama Cultural Gymnasium” performance. Yes, it’s an upgraded version of the legendary Langley label “ASSAULT THE SENSES”!
I’m sorry that the meter suddenly went up and made me think that it was a “legend” or an “upgrade”. For those who don’t know “ASSAULT THE SENSES”, let’s start from the beginning. Speaking of the performance in Japan in 1988, it is also famous for the official live album “BEAST FROM THE EAST”, but this work is a completely different long stereo sound board recording. Let’s look back on the schedule at that time to imagine the situation in that area.

・ April 20: NHK Hall
・ April 21: Yokohama Cultural Gymnasium ← ★ This work ★
・ April 23: Shibuya Public Hall
・ April 24: Nagoya City
Assembly Hall・ April 25: Osaka Welfare Pension Hall
・ April 27: Tokyo Kosei Nenkin Kaikan ← * Official
・ April 29: NHK Hall ← * Official
・ April 30: Tokyo Kosei Nenkin Kaikan ← * Official

All 8 performances. The official “BEAST FROM THE EAST” has been compiled from the final three performances in Tokyo, but this work is about a week before that. It was the second performance that the Japan tour had just begun.
This yo is known for the sound board sound source left for a long time, but it updates the top of this work. At the time of the first excavation, it was a single piece with many cuts, but later on, a long master of about 100 minutes leaked from the people concerned. That is “ASSAULT THE SENSES” introduced at the beginning, and it is still the highest peak master that can not be surpassed. And this work is a decisive board that re-polished the top with the latest and meticulous mastering. “It was the apex itself that surpassed the apex master.”
In fact, its sound quality is stunning and suspicious. From the original sound, it was a super-powerful sound board with a very thick core directly connected to the mix table, but this work has a more neat sense of balance. Pursuing beauty that pays attention to the growth of the sound while maintaining the strength and sharpness of the edge. By specializing in the midrange, the balance of the thick original sound has been arranged to achieve a wide range and good clarity. The outline of each note, which was originally strongly separated, has become more vivid, and the ensemble has a three-dimensional effect. It pushed the possibilities of the legendary sound to the limit.
What is drawn with that sound is a full show that exceeds “BEAST FROM THE EAST” where the band potential that has reached the top explodes. As a matter of fact, only the encore last “In My Dreams” does not have a sound board, and it is complemented by the audience recording of the same day, but even if it is aside, the number of songs volume is more than “BEAST FROM THE EAST” It is. Let’s organize by comparing here.

● Tooth and Nail (7 songs)
・ Heartless Heart (★) / Tooth And Nail / When Heaven Comes Down / Alone Again / Into The Fire (◆) / Turn On The Action / Just Got Lucky (◆)
● Back For the Attack (7 songs)
, Kiss Of Death / Sleepless Night / Standing In The Shadows / Dream Warriors / Mr. Scary / Heaven Sent / Lost Behind A Wall (★)
● Others (4 songs)
・ Braking the・ Chains: Breaking The Chains
・ Under Lock and Key: Unchain The Night / It’s Not Love / In My Dreams (◆: AUD only for this song)
* Note: “★” mark can be heard in “BEAST FROM THE EAST” No song. The “◆” mark is a song that has not been recorded in a single piece.

… And it looks like this. The rare “Heartless Heart” and “Lost Behind A Wall” that you can’t even hear in “BEAST FROM THE EAST” are delicious, but the momentum of one-shot recording that is different from the official work edited more than that is amazing. Yes, this momentum and aggression is the life of this work … No, it was the life of DOKKEN at that time. It is often said that “BEAST FROM THE EAST” is “the best song selection of Golden Age DOKKEN”, but in reality it is biased toward “TOOTH AND NAIL” and “BACK FOR THE ATTACK”, which is clearly a hard side. It is important (because of that reaction, “UNDER LOCK AND KEY” was featured in DON DOKKEN in 1991).
The tension of the performance itself is suitable for such a set. George Lynch’s razor guitar is just as intense! If the edges are sharp, each picking is super sharp. It’s not running separately, but it’s so aggressive that it feels like it’s running even at mid-tempo. That’s why it’s so sharp that even if a bunch of about 100 slash bands are bundled, the sharpness is engraved in the brain because it is a sound board directly connected to the de. Not only is the guitar itself intensely unrivaled, but the sound that strikes it without leaking its power is unprecedented.

The mellow heyday of Don Dokken’s vocalization, Jeff Pilson’s singing bassline, the beauty of the three-voice chorus, etc … Originally, there are a lot of points to talk about, but as expected I can’t tell you all. Anyway, please experience the transcendental guitar sound and the full show that transcends the official board “BEAST FROM THE EAST”. DOKKEN’s masterpiece that makes even the prestigious official board out of the question. The highest peak sound update board. Please fully enjoy the press 2CD that will not lose its brilliance forever!

、Kiss Of Death / Sleepless Night / Standing In the Shadows / Dream Warriors / Mr. Scary / Heaven Sent / Lost Behind a Wall(★)
Under Lock and Key:Unchain The Night / It’s Not Love / In My Dreams(◆:この曲のみAUD)

『BEAST FROM THE EAST』では聴こえない珍しい「HeartlessHeart」や「LostBehind A Wall」は美味しいが、それ以上に編集された公式作品とは違うワンショット録音の勢いすごい。
