そんな本作は、当店秘蔵の放送原盤からダイレクトにCD化したもの。この原盤はミントクオリティの極上品で、まさに究極。今回、最新リマスターで磨き上げていますが、そのメインは「徹底的なノイズ除去」。もちろんアップグレードしてはいるのですが、音質自体にはあまり違いを感じないかも知れません。しかし、内容は違う。オリジナル・リリース盤では放送原盤を正確にデジタル化しており、「Shame On The Night」「Children Of The Sea」も収録していました。ところが、その後マニアの研究でこれがフェイクと判明。実は「1983年７月28日フレズノ公演」のテイクを放送局がシレッと混ぜていたのです。もちろん、フレズノ公演は別に長尺盤もありますので、本作では除去。スポケーン公演“だけ”に集中できるライヴアルバムに仕上げました。

さらにライヴが終わってからもお楽しみがもう１曲。バドワイザー社のラジオCMが収録されています。実はコレ、DIOの「Rainbow In The Dark」の替え歌なのです。放送原盤はCMも収録されていることが多く、そのレコードを地方局がかける。これも同じ原盤から復刻した“お宝”なのです。

【ディスク２：WHITESNAKE編＋DIOのボーナス】
代わってのディスク２は、サポートアクトだったWHITESNAKE編。カヴァデール／サイクス／コージー／マーレイという「４人編成」時代の極上サウンドボードです。これまた古くから大定番で、ROCK IN RIOのラジオ放送版『ROCK IN RIO ’85（Langley-299）』と共に「サイクス時代のベストサウンド」と愛されてきた名録音。もちろん、ディスク１のDIO編と同様にベストマスター＆最新リマスターで最高峰サウンドを実現しています。
前座だけに短いステージですが、これでフル。そもそも「４人編成」になってからの彼らはほとんどがサポート公演でして、フルスケールのショウ自体が日本公演と“ROCK IN RIO ’85”しかありません。その短い中に、一大全盛のDIOさえも霞む凄まじいパッションが濃縮されているのです。
