Last week, we released an outtake collection of the official live album of Derek & the Dominos, which was formed by Eric Clapton in 1970 with a gift item last week. Many requests have been received. Originally it was a sound source uploaded to the net, so it was a gift item, but for Clapton fans who understand the preciousness and excellence of the sound source well, it is saved rather than CDR, although it is free Even if you have a desire to collect with a highly functional press CD, it may not be impossible. It was such a shocking sound source, so if you realized the only upgraded version that adjusted the pitch deviation that was occurring in the original sound source even though it was fine, I think that it is more suitable for releasing on the press board I think it was. In response to this request, we decided to release this sound source on the press board this week! Moreover, if you want to release it on the press CD anyway, we decided to make a plan where you can enjoy both the official and the outtake at once if you have a definitive version of Fillmore that covers all of them. The result is this board!

As I mentioned in the review of gift items, this outtake sound source, including the surprising take that Eric Clapton will admit to being the best band on his career, will be the first public release in Japan of Derek & the Dominos It was a live sound source. Moreover, it was a stereo sound board and master quality that was not inferior to the sound quality of the official live board. Domino’s official live albums “IN CONCERT” and “LIVE AT THE FILLMORE” were produced from both late shows at Fillmore East on October 23, 1970. The recorded stereo sound board source and part of the October 23 early show stereo sound board source have been leaked from officials and have been released underground in the past. ギフトアイテムのレビューでも述べたのですが、このアウトテイク音源、エリック・クラプトンが自身のキャリア上において最高のバンドだったと自認するデレク・アンド・ザ・ドミノスの本邦初公開となる驚きのテイクを含むライブ音源だったのです。しかもオフィシャルライブ盤の音質に比較しても何ら遜色のない、バリバリのステレオ・サウンドボード、マスタークオリティでした。ドミノスのオフィシャルライブ盤「IN CONCERT」や「LIVE AT THE FILLMORE」は、70年10月23日、24日のフィルモア・イーストでの両レイトショーから製作されたのですが、その大元の両日のコンプリート収録のステレオサウンドボードソースと10月23日のアーリーショーのステレオサウンドボードソースの一部は関係者から流出しており、過去にアンダーグラウンドでリリースされてきました。流出している音源の内容を今一度記しておきましょう。

Clapton and drummer Jim Drum during the recording session even though he was recording as the next work of the famous “LAYLA AND OTHER ASSORTED LOVE SONGS” released as Derek & The Dominos. It is a treasured sound source of the second album session that the band was decomposed in the air due to Gordon’s confrontation and became okra. The recording was performed at the Olympic Sound Studio in London from April to May 1971, but the sound source recorded on this board is instrumental and does not even contain guide vocals. It is called “Basic Track”. The version that overdubbed the song later was recorded in Clapton’s 1988 release 4CD anthology box “CROSSROADS” (Japanese title: Eric Clapton anthology). However, the master of this edition is a genuine spill source that the UK’s heavyweight taper was handed over in the form of a CDR from the British polygram staff. Therefore, 5.6. Is completely different from the official version. The number of the phantom second album you listen to with all the instrumental instruments will also inspire you. The bonus recorded in the master was Tell The Truth Jam in the “Layla Session”, and the take itself is the same as the first recorded in the official record “HISTORY OF ERIC CLAPTON”. As expected, the sound quality is very clear only for the first generation of outflow, and there is no trouble. Between songs, you can listen to a little conversation and voices of Clapton and the person who seems to be an engineer. This area will not be heard in the official version. Clapton’s fierce play in the Dominos era is more like an instrumental impression. It seems that Clapton’s sterility can be felt in these sound sources that did not see the day even though they were recording hard to go beyond “Layla”. デレク＆ザ・ドミノスとしてリリースした名盤「LAYLA AND OTHER ASSORTED LOVE SONGS」(邦題：いとしのレイラ)の次作としてレコーディングを進めていたにもかかわらず、レコーディング・セッション中にクラプトンとドラマーのジム・ゴードンの対立によりバンドが空中分解してしまい、オクラ入りとなってしまったセカンド・アルバムセッションの秘蔵音源です。レコーディングは1971年4月～5月にかけてロンドンのオリンピック・サウンド・スタジオで行なわれたのですが、本盤に収録の音源は、全曲ともインストゥルメンタルとなっており、ガイドボーカルさえ入っていない「ベーシック・トラック」と呼ばれるものです。後に歌をオーバーダビングしたバージョンは、クラプトンの88年リリースの4CDアンソロジー・ボックス「CROSSROADS」(邦題：エリック・クラプトン・アンソロジー)に3.6.7.8.が収録されました。しかし今回の本盤のマスターは、何とイギリスのポリグラムのスタッフからイギリス在住の重鎮テーパーがCDRの形で譲り受けたという、正真正銘の流出ソースなのです。従いまして、5.6.はオフィシャル・バージョンとはまったくテイクが違っています。全曲インストで聴く幻のセカンド・アルバムのナンバーというのも、マニア心をそそるのではないでしょうか。ボーナス的にマスターに収録されていましたのは、「レイラ・セッション」におけるTell The Truth Jamで、テイクそのものはオフィシャル盤「HISTORY OF ERIC CLAPTON」に初収録されたものと同じです。音質はさすが流出のファーストジェネレーションだけに非常にクリアで、トラブルもありません。曲間にはクラプトンとエンジニアらしき人物のちょっとした会話や声も聴けます。このあたりはオフィシャル・バージョンでは聴けないところでしょう。ドミノス時代のクラプトンの鬼気迫るようなプレイは、インストだからこそより心に入ってくるような印象です。「レイラ」を超えようとして、懸命にレコーディングを進めていたのに日の目を見なかったこれらの音源には、クラプトンの不憫さも感じ取れそうです。クラプトンのキャリア上の一時期のパズルを埋める9ピースがここにあります。
