DEEP PURPLE with the meaningful “THE LONG GOODBYE” celebrating its 50th anniversary. It is the topic that “This will be the last” all over the world, but at last the performance to Japan has come true. The latest and best live album that vacuum packed the site is appearing.
It is included in this work “October 14, 2018: Makuhari Messe” performance. This time, it is the best audience recording of the only Kanto performance. This week we will release Osaka’s masterpiece live album “OSAKA 2018 (Shades 978)” at the same time, so let’s first check the position of the show with the dates of Japan tour that may be the last.

· October 14: Makuhari Messe 【this work】
· October 15: Nagoya International Conference Center Century Hall
· October 17th: Osaka Festival Hall “OSAKA 2018”
· October 18th: Osaka Festival Hall “OSAKA 2018”
· October 20: Hiroshima Ueno Gakuen Hall
· October 22: Fukuoka Sun Palace

Over, all six performances. Just last night, the final Fukuoka performance just finished. The Makuhari performance of this work was a concert decorating its first day. This work that vacuum packed the site is exactly the best inscription. It is an original master of only this work with masterpiece work wearing arms in recent years hard rock system arrival, but anyway the on core and detailed detail are exquisite! It is overwhelming clearness that is suitable for calling “so-called” sound board “. If you listen carefully with your headphones, you will feel a little onsite acoustics, but it does not make sense of distance, it makes your ringing glossy. Besides that beautiful sound, the goodness of balance is also wonderful. While five people spontaneously separate the spinning sounds, someone does not jump out and intertwines, boasts exquisite balancing. It sounds like we are woofing beautiful tapestries while each instrument and singing voice are clear.
To be honest it is surprising that Makuhari Messe will record such a beautiful sound. When I got to Japan I received a message saying “Why is not it a Budokan?” “It was Makuhari Messe, how about a whirlpool …” but it was a mild halt, but nothing. Even if it is Nippon Budokan, I doubt if it was recorded with such sound. It is not possible to decide the best masterpiece even though the recording has not been exhausted yet until the final performance, but probably this work is the top of that … … It is the finest sound world that passes through such a feeling that went ahead.
It depicts with such a superb sound is a performance of a traditional band who came to tell “THE LONG GOODBYE”. In the last North American tour it was a surprising set to push out with zero new song either because of double head liner with JUDAS PRIEST, but the Japanese performance is majestful full set. It conforms to the Europe tour before North America, although “Knocking At Your Back Door” was cut, new songs from “INFINITE” are also playing with kitchen. Let’s organize the number of each era here.

● Old number
First half (5 songs): Highway Star, Pictures of Home, Bloodsucker, Strange Kind of Woman, Lazy
Late (4 songs): Space Truckin ‘, Smoke on the Water, Hush (Going Down to Intro), Black Night

● Re-formation era (1 song)
Perfect Strangers

● After joining Mose (2 songs + 3 new songs)
Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming, Uncommon Man, The Surprising, Birds of Prey, Time for Bedlam

The composition of the show which built up such famous song group is also impressive. The highlight of the opening and final stage played intensively the number after reunion in the middle stage while pushing with the masterpiece rush of the 70’s. It is roughly color-coded as “70’s → after re-formation → 70’s”. Besides, the middle song’s new songs have been consolidated to three consecutive years, and the performance is high when both the performance and the highlight, the contrast is vividly listened carefully in the middle stage. It seems that I have scratched a long history widely, and it does not become a distracting impression.
It was 46 years since my first visit to Japan that produced “MADE IN JAPAN”. At the 16th time (the 7th time in the present formation), the Japanese performance which may be the last was finished. It is one that stands at the scene and can taste the famous songs of the past with the finest sound. A commodity in the inscription that will become the masterpiece in the first report. Please please take a closer look at the historic “now” with a wonderful live album.

結成50周年を迎え、意味深な“THE LONG GOODBYE”を掲げたDEEP PURPLE。

前半(5曲):Highway Star、Pictures of Home、Bloodsucker、Strange Kind of Woman、Lazy
