Following Steve Vai & Billy Sheehan, 1986’s DAVID LEE ROTH BAND was even called “the strongest rock band in history”. Introducing a live video that will reach its peak! This work was filmed at “September 26, 1986 in Detroit”. Speaking of “DLR 1986”, a band with a slew of super-individuals who have made a name for themselves in rock history, and a band that swirled the United States into a whirlpool of enthusiasm with an intense entertainment show. Despite the aspirations for that record, there are no soundboards or pro shots left. Under such circumstances, the Detroit performance is a large classic video that has long been known as “DLR 1986.” Perhaps many people have seen it. This work is the ultimate version of such a large classic video. Speaking of the highest quality version so far, “DETROIT 1986” is familiar in our shop. In the high quality version that appeared a few years ago, the image quality generated from the 1st Gen video wiped out the existing ones and became a popular title at once. This work is an upgraded version produced by an overseas core enthusiast, and is a synchronization of a new superb sound with the superb video of 1st Gen. The sound is just amazing. Even at the time of the bonus DVDR, it was a clear and wonderful sound, but this work has a preeminent stereo and separation feeling and a tremendous three-dimensional effect. Of course, it’s not a pseudo-stereo muffled feeling, but a lot of scale feeling unique to audience recording, and the core of the musical tone is even thicker and the edges are vivid. Vai’s “that tone” dances crazy in the huge arena rock, and Billy’s “that gorigori” goes through the whole story. This difference in sound goes through the essence of the band. After all, the greatest wonder of “DLR 1986” is the feat of the star player and its entanglement. Unlike the type of band where everyone’s sounds come together as one, the more clear each instrument and each sound of the spun performance, the more exciting it becomes. Furthermore, the scale created by the stereo feeling is directly linked to dynamism. After all, David Lee Roth’s performance is not about delicate singing ability and delicacy, but about the dynamics of manipulating a large audience. The dynamism increases as the sense of scale increases, and the gorgeous show of a gorgeous band unlike any other in rock history spreads across the screen. The upgrade sound was so terrible that I forgot the important story. Why is this work the representative video of “DLR 1986”? It is in the finest sight. The picture was taken from the second floor seats on the right side of the stage (closer to Vai), but the view is overwhelming. Apparently, it seems to be a stand seat, and because of the slope, there is no gap for the head and arms in the front row to enter. The entire field of view is occupied by Dave, Vai, and Billy. Moreover, the zoom that boldly attacks is also the best sense. We approach the waist up of each member, but without shaking the camera with that zoom, pull it once and get closer to the highlight, and then return to the panoramic view and charge to the next highlight. Therefore, despite the intense camera work, it does not become difficult to see due to shaking, and the image of the entire stage is perfect. The illusionary camera work is a series of highlights that make you want to call it a “single multi-camera” despite being a one-camera. With these angles and master camera work, we have continued to protect the “great classic” throne, but with the upgrade of this work, it has become even more vivid. It is a super-decision board that has upgraded the long-standing classic video with the beautiful image quality and great sound of 1st Gen. Whether it’s a scene or a sound, it’s the pinnacle of “DLR BAND 1986″. It is a masterpiece where you can experience the gorgeous show of a super luxurious band that is unique in rock history with 100% of the students. スティーヴ・ヴァイ＆ビリー・シーンを従え、“史上最強のロックバンド”とさえ呼ばれた、1986年のDAVID LEE ROTH BAND。その頂点を極めるライヴ映像が登場です！本作が撮影されたのは「1986年９月26日デトロイト公演」。“DLR 1986”と言えば、ロック史に名を残す超個性派がズラリとそろい、強烈なエンターテインメント・ショウで全米を熱狂の渦に巻き込んでいたバンド。その記録が熱望されているにも関わらず、サウンドボードもプロショットも一切残されていません。そんな状況下で、デトロイト公演と言ったら古くから「DLR 1986と言ったらコレ」で知られる大定番映像。恐らく、多くの方がご覧になった事があると思います。本作は、そんな大定番映像の究極バージョンなのです。これまでの最高品質版と言えば、当店でも『DETROIT 1986』がお馴染み。数年前に登場したハイクオリティ・バージョンで、1st Genのビデオから起こされた画質は既発を一掃、一気に人気タイトルとなりました。本作は、海外のコアマニアが制作したアップグレードバージョンで、1st Genの極上映像に新たな極上サウンドをシンクロさせたものなのです。そのサウンドはまさに驚異的。ボーナスDVDRの時点でもクリアで素晴らしいサウンドでしたが、本作はステレオ感も分離感もバツグンで凄まじい立体感。もちろん、疑似ステレオのムリヤリ感ではなく、オーディエンス記録ならではのスケール感もたっぷりですし、より一層楽音の芯も図太く、エッジも鮮やか。巨大なアリーナロックの中でヴァイの“あのトーン”が踊り狂い、ビリーの“あのゴリゴリ”が全編を貫くのです。このサウンドの違いはバンドの本質までえぐる。なにしろ“DLR 1986”最大の凄味は、何と言ってもスタープレイヤーの妙技とその絡み。全員の音が一丸になって迫るタイプのバンドとは違い、楽器１つひとつ、紡がれる演奏の１音１音が克明であればあるほど、醍醐味が増していくのです。さらにステレオ感が生み出すスケールは、ダイナミズムにも直結する。なにしろ、デイヴィッド・リー・ロスのパフォーマンスは、緻密な歌唱力や繊細さではなく、大観衆を縦横無尽に操るダイナミックさこそが命。スケール感が増した分だけそのダイナミズムも増量し、ロック史に２つとないゴージャスなバンドのゴージャスなショウが画面いっぱいに広がるのです。 　あまりにアップグレード・サウンドが凄まじくて、肝心要の話を忘れておりました。本作がなぜ“DLR 1986”の代表映像となっているのか。それは、極上の光景にあります。ステージ右寄り（ヴァイ寄り）の２階席から撮影されているですが、その視界は圧倒的。どうやらスタンド席らしく、傾斜があるために前列の頭や腕が入り込むスキが一切ない。視野すべてがデイヴ、ヴァイ、ビリーの３人に占領されるのです。しかも、果敢に攻めるズームもセンス最高。各メンバーのウェスト・アップにまで迫るのですが、そのズームのままカメラを振ることがなく、一度引いては見どころへグイッと寄り、また全景に戻っては次の見どころへ突撃する。そのため、激しいカメラワークにも関わらず揺れで見にくくなることがなく、ステージ全体のイメージもばっちり。その変幻自在のカメラワークは、ワンカメにも関わらず「独りマルチカメラ」とでも呼びたくなる見どころの連発になる。こうしたアングル、達人カメラワークによって「大定番」の王座を守り続けてきたわけですが、本作のアップグレードのよってさらに鮮やかになっているのです。長年の定番映像が1st Genの美麗画質とグレイトなサウンドでアップグレードした超決定盤です。光景にしろ、サウンドにしろ、まさに“DLR BAND 1986”の頂点。ロック史に２つとない超豪華バンドの絢爛ショウを本生100％で体験できる大傑作です。 Live at Cobo Hall, Detroit, Michigan, USA 26th September 1986 AMAZING SHOT & BEST SOUND EVER!!
