“BUDOKAN 1993 2ND NIGHT (ZODIAC 225)” of COVERDALE / PAGE which was released the other day and received great popularity. The topic “KRW_CO” released 1st Generation sound was a strong masterpiece. This work is the second volume. It is the 1st genie album which also jumped out from “KRW_CO”.
Although the maximum taste of this work is in an intense sound, first from the basic. This work is “Audience album of” December 17, 1993: National Yoyogi Stadium “performance. Our shop has archived a number of live albums as well as “BUDOKAN 1993 2ND NIGHT”. Let’s confirm with the schedule once again here.

This was the only tour of COVERDALE / PAGE All seven performances. It can be roughly divided into three sections with off, and the Yoyogi Olympic performance of this work is a concert corresponding to the second section.
The sound of such a work is furious after the first gen. “BUDOKAN 1993 2ND NIGHT” was also a wonderful sound, but the realism and direct feeling of this work are slightly different in dimension. Despite suffering a cheerful enthusiasm for the coalescence project of the century, the immediate sense of being able to thrust the guitar & vocal in front of me is amazing. Especially the guitar is super vivid though even a little picking touch and nuance of chalking. In addition, the rhythm squad is also intense, Katsuaki Yuaki giggling from drumming one stroke to the mouth bouncing boom. Especially when closing your eyes the waveform of the deep bass sounds to the eyes, not to mention the sight of the stage.
As a matter of fact, “KRW_CO” master itself, the distortion of left-right balance was also seen, but in this work it was fixed by mastering. Furthermore, it reduced the feeling of the hall and finished it as a sound that conveys the direct feeling of the musical tone more vividly. However, it does not do anything to impair the original “ringing” and “detail” with prestigious equalizing. You may be surprised at the powerful sound as you listen to this work, but this is the charm that the original sound originally had.
The concert drawn with that sound is also wonderful. The tension of the first live in Nippon Budokan got drifted, but whether it opened even at a reflection meeting on one day off, while leaving a fresh feeling in this work, I can listen to what I’ve been doing. One shout and one riff have no inertia or accustomedness, but they are really pleasant as they get better. Especially the tasteful Cavadair is wonderful. I shouted at the ZEP number of the desire (?) Pleasantly and screaming with MC “Uttatte” “Mondai nai” with a feeling. In addition, “In My Time Of Dying”, “Oyoyogi ♪ Oyoyogi ♪ Oyoyogiii ♪” is doing great. Indeed, people in Japan are best performing in Japan.
Jimmy Page was also made exquisite because it is such a Cavadair. Of course, his eternal partner was Robert Plant, and Cavadair could have been a substitute. However, I believe that “ZEP ‘s fantasy” was obediently enjoyed only by respecting innocently enough with respect to everything, and because Cavardere fiercely faded next to me. From the drastic performance of this work, such a smile of Paigy comes through.

Cagey ‘s Cavadill, Paige is getting back Kan. A back club that respects such two legends and a large crowd of the Yoyogi Olympic Games that forget me in the sight in front of me …… It is a masterpiece of the live album which all of them revive with realistic sound of 1st Gen. 先日リリースされ、大好評を賜ったCOVERDALE/PAGEの『BUDOKAN 1993 2ND NIGHT（ZODIAC 225）』。話題の「KRW_CO」が公表した1stッジェネレーション・サウンドが強烈な大傑作でした。本作は、その第２弾。同じく「KRW_CO」から飛び出した1stジェネ・アルバムです。
そんな本作最大の旨みは、強烈なるサウンドにあるわけですが、まずは基本から。本作は「1993年12月17日：国立代々木競技場」公演のオーディエンス・アルバム。当店は『BUDOKAN 1993 2ND NIGHT』だけでなく、これまで幾多のライヴアルバムをアーカイヴして参りました。ここで今一度、日程で確認してみましょう。

これがCOVERDALE/PAGE唯一のツアーであった全７公演。オフを挟んで３セクションに大別でき、本作の代々木オリンピック公演は第２セクションにあたるコンサートです。
そんな本作のサウンドは、1stジェネならではの激烈ぶり。『BUDOKAN 1993 2ND NIGHT』も素晴らしいサウンドでしたが、本作のリアルさ、ダイレクト感はちょっと次元が違う。世紀の合体プロジェクトに熱狂する大歓声も吸い込んでいるものの、ギター＆ヴォーカルを目の前に突きつけられるような間近感が凄い。特にギターはちょっとしたピッキングのタッチやチョーキングのニュアンスまでもが超ビビッド。さらにリズム隊までもが強烈でして、ドラムの１打１打からブンブンと唸るベースまでえらく克明。特にベースは目を閉じるとステージの光景どころか、重低音の波形まで目に浮かぶほどです。
実のところ「KRW_CO」マスターそのものには、左右バランスの乱れも見られたのですが、本作ではマスタリングで修正。さらにホール感を軽減し、楽音の持つダイレクト感をより一層鮮やかに伝えるサウンドに仕上げました。ただし、ムリヤリなイコライジングで本来の“鳴り”“ディテール”を損なう事は一切しておりません。本作をお聴きになってド迫力サウンドに驚かれるかも知れませんが、これは原音がもともと持っていた魅力なのです。
そのサウンドで描かれるコンサートがまた素晴らしい。日本武道館では初ライヴの緊張感も漂ってきましたが、オフ１日で反省会でも開いたのか、本作ではフレッシュ感を残しつつも、調子を上げてきたのがつぶさに聴き取れる。シャウト１発、リフ１つにしても、惰性や慣れはないものの、思い切りが良くなって実に気持ちいいのです。特に調子に乗ったカヴァデールは素晴らしい。念願（？）のZEPナンバーを気持ち良さそうに叫び、MCでも「ウタッテー」「モンダイナーイ」と大はしゃぎ。さらには「In My Time Of Dying」で「オヨヨギ♪　オヨヨギ♪　オヨヨギィィイ♪」と絶好調。まったく、カヴァデールって人は日本公演が最高です。
そんなカヴァデールだからこそ、ジミー・ペイジもイキイキとできたのでしょう。もちろん、彼の永遠のパートナーはロバート・プラントであり、カヴァデールは代役だったかも知れません。しかし、無邪気なほどに全力でリスペクトし、無垢にはしゃぐカヴァデールが隣に立つからこそ、“ZEPの幻想”を素直に楽しめたのではないでしょうか。本作の思い切りの良い演奏からは、そんなペイジの笑みが透けてくるのです。

大はしゃぎのカヴァデール、カンを取り戻しつつあるペイジ。そんなレジェンド２人をリスペクトするバック陣と、目の前の光景に我を忘れる代々木オリンピックの大観衆……。そのすべてが1stジェネのリアル・サウンドで蘇るライヴアルバムの大傑作です。たった７公演しか実現しなかったCOVERDALE/PAGE。その泡沫の空間は、これほどの喜びに満ちていた。その確かで、鮮やかなる証人。今週末、あなたのお手元にお届けいたします。
