The best pro shot that contains the special performance of the “OUTSIDE” era is the gift release decision. Two special shows, “December 11, 1995 FNAC SHOW (Paris)” and “December 14, 1995 THE WHITE ROOM (London)” are included in this work. As mentioned earlier, “FNAC SHOW” was recorded in Paris, so I was jumping over the Dover Strait during the UK tour.
First to appear is the special show “FNAC SHOW” in Paris. The show was co-sponsored by the French chain “FNAC” and MTV, and it was a premiere live event inviting about 450 media officials. Six songs were shown, which were a digest of “OUTSIDE TOUR”, and the pattern has been known for some time. However, this film is an upgraded version released after receiving last year’s intelligence. The quality is completely different from the image of the past, a master quality ultra-superb beautiful edition. It is a completely perfect official level.
The figure of Bowie drawn in the quality is just a treasure. There are 6 songs and a short video, but this is a full set. The first of its selection is the concentrated version of “OUTSIDE TOUR”, and it is based on the three songs from “OUTSIDE”, which is also said to be “the return of the Berlin trilogy”, while the “Look” of the final work of the trilogy “LODGER” Show off “Back In Anger”. There is a range in “Under Pressure” and “The Man Who Sold The World”, and you can enjoy a variety of short but versatile expressions. Moreover, the performance itself is also very good. The other video is 4 studio live songs from the UK Channel 4 program “THE WHITE ROOM”. This was taken the day after the last UK tour show, and has recently appeared as a master, just like “FNAC SHOW”. Its visual beauty and sound is also a perfect official grade.
This performance is also wonderful. As the program name is, the white office studio is different from the dark “OUTSIDE” image, but it is colored with colorful lights and it is really colorful. It is even shorter with 4 songs, but he will also show “Boys Keep Swinging” from “LODGER” which I did not play on “FNAC SHOW”.

There are a total of 10 songs and 48 minutes, but it is a masterpiece video that brings out the unexpected side of the “OUTSIDE” era with the quality that can be studied to the best. 先述したように“FNAC SHOW”はパリ収録だったわけで、UKツアーの最中にドーバー海峡を飛び越えていたわけです。
まず登場するのは、そのパリでの特別ショウ“FNAC SHOW”。フランスのチェーン“FNAC”とMTVが協賛したショウで、約450人のメディア関係者を招待して行われたプレミア・ライヴでした。“OUTSIDE TOUR”をダイジェストしたような６曲が披露され、その模様は以前から知られていました。しかし、本作は昨年の訃報を受けて公開されたアップグレード版なのです。そのクオリティはかつての映像とはまるで違い、マスタークオリティの超絶美麗版。まさに完全無欠のオフィシャル級なのです。
そのクオリティで描かれるボウイの姿は、まさに秘宝。６曲と短い映像ではありますが、これでフルセット。その厳選ぶりは“OUTSIDE TOUR”の濃縮版で、“ベルリン三部作の再来”とも言われた『OUTSIDE』からの３曲を軸にしつつ、その三部作の最終作『LODGER』の「Look Back In Anger」も披露。そこに「Under Pressure」「The Man Who Sold The World」で幅を持たせ、短いながらも多彩な表情が楽しめる。しかも、パフォーマンス自体もすこぶる良い。やや強行軍なフランス行きではありましたが、６曲だけなのでムリがなく、ツアー中だけにバンドとのコミュニケーションも抜群です。
もう１つの映像は、イギリスChannel 4の番組“THE WHITE ROOM”に出演した際のスタジオ・ライヴ４曲。こちらはUKツアー最終公演の翌日に撮影されたもので、“FNAC SHOW”と同様に最近になって登場したマスター。その映像美・サウンドは同様に完璧なオフィシャル級です。
こちらのパフォーマンスも実に素晴らしい。番組名通りに真っ白な局内スタジオは、ダークな『OUTSIDE』のイメージとは違いますが、色とりどりの照明で彩られていて実にカラフル。４曲とさらに短いのですが、“FNAC SHOW”では演奏しなかった『LODGER』の「Boys Keep Swinging」も披露してくれます。

合計10曲・48分ではありますが、極上を究めるようなクオリティで『OUTSIDE』時代の意外な一面を魅せてくれる傑作映像。コレクションとしても素晴らしく、『OUTSIDE』時代の粋を一気に味わえる１枚。今週末、あなたのお手元にお届けいたします。
