この「CRACKED ACTOR」におけるライヴ・ステージの様子を見ると、ボウイは非常に活き活きとしており、またステージ上の演出も素晴らしいものだったというのがわかる。派手な衣装ではなく、シンプルなスーツ姿で、メイクも落とし、ほぼスッピンのボウイは、肢体をくねらせ、非常に色気あるステージングを行なっている。それは音だけでは伝わってこない、或いは誤解すらされていた1974年ツアーの評価を一変させるほどの衝撃である。電話型マイクを使って座して歌うスタイルは80年代にも行なわれていたが、このツアーの「SPACE ODDITY」にその演出の原点があったというのも、音だけではわからなかったものである。
