A new masterpiece is born in Bowie’s last “A REALITY Tour”. The best live album that you can enjoy rare songs is now available on Permanent Preservation Press 2CD.
“January 19, 2004 Denver performance” is included in this work. It is the best audience recording. “A REALITY Tour” is also Bowie’s last world tour in his lifetime, and is archived not only by the official work “A REALITY TOUR” but also by many masterpieces in our shop. All the last performances in Japan have been permanently preserved, and the sound board album “ATLANTIC CITY 2004 1ST NIGHT (Wardour-297)” has become very popular. First of all, let’s confirm the position of this work from the whole tour while involving such milestones.

● 2003
・ August 19: Warm-up gig
<< September 16th “REALITY” released >>
・ October 7th-November 28th: Europe # 1 (31 performances) ← * Official Edition A REALITY TOUR

《June 25: Emergency transport due to aneurysm》

This is David Bowie from 2003/2004. The tour was organized until July 2004, but before it was completed, I fell ill and never went on tour again. The Denver performance of this work was also in 2004, but in the middle of the tour there are still no signs of illness. It was the 7th performance of “North America # 1b”.
This work recorded at such a show is the finest DAT master discovered in recent years. After all, the sound quality was so good that even among overseas collectors, various theories mixed with wishful thinking such as “Is it really an audience?” “Isn’t it different from the official board or broadcast sound board?” “Is it actually a matrix?” There is. As a matter of fact, the tone of the sound feels like an audience, so I feel like it’s a little too shabby, but I also understand the feeling that the tension rises unintentionally. The crystal clear and clear air is shining, and even if you listen with headphones, you can’t feel the sound of the hall. Of course, the details are as vivid as a laser beam, and all the instruments are beautifully separated up to each note. Even if you listen to it microscopically (other than the tone of the core and the cheers between the songs), you can’t find the audience. Moreover, this work brushes up such an original sound. It is the highest peak update board that pursues the maximum potential as a musical work by balancing ease of listening and vividness while keeping a natural feel.
And it is the show itself that raises the tension of collectors more than the super clear sound. As mentioned above, I have reported “A REALITY Tour” on the press board, but this work has many rare songs, and I listened to it a lot. Here, let’s organize the set based on the most famous official board “A REALITY TOUR”.

● 60’s / 70’s (14 songs)
・ Hunky Dory: Life on Mars? / Changes
・ Ziggy Stardust: Hang On to Yourself / Five Years / Suffragette City (★) / Ziggy Stardust
・ Others: The Man Who Sold the World / Panic in Detroit (★) / Rebel Rebel / Fame / “Heroes” / Fantastic Voyage / White Light / White Heat (★) / All the Young Dudes
● Since the 1980s (15 songs)
・ 80’s: Ashes to Ashes / Under Pressure / China Girl / Blue Jean (★)
・ 90’s: Hallo Spaceboy / I’m Afraid of Americans
・ Heathen: Cactus / Sunday
・ Reality: New Killer Star / Reality / She’ll Drive the Big Car (★) / The Loneliest Guy / Days / Never Get Old / Bring Me the Disco King
* Note: The “★” mark is a song that cannot be heard in the official work “A REALITY TOUR”.

… And it looks like this. The style that covers a wide range of careers with the latest work and “Jiggy Stardust” as the two pillars is the right way of “A REALITY Tour”, but the rare songs scattered there are the points. “Suffragette City” was played a lot, so that’s not the case, but “White Light / White Heat” cannot be heard in the official work “A REALITY TOUR” or the press titles of other countries, and “Panic in Detroit”. Is the song that has been revived for the first time in 7 years and is the 5th time on this tour. Similarly, “Blue Jean” for the first time in eight years is also a valuable take for the second tour. And the most rare thing is the new song “She’ll Drive the Big Car” from “REALITY”. Of course, it is a limited song for “A REALITY Tour”, but it is a very rare song that is sung only about 10 times + α in a limited venue. You can enjoy some of the most valuable songs in Bowie’s career with soundboard-grade ultra-clear sound.
“A REALITY Tour” with “bowie last” as the makurakotoba. This work is not only one of the best recordings, but also a new excavation live album with a special brilliance due to a heap of rare songs. Press 2CD that leaves its brilliance forever. Please enjoy it anytime and forever.

★ Bowie’s last “A REALITY Tour” new masterpiece. This is the best audience recording of “January 19, 2004 Denver performance”. A new excavation master who has been talked about overseas as “the same as the official board and FM broadcast” and “is it matrixed with the sound board?” Great. Enjoy not only “Suffragette City” and “White Light / White Heat” but also rare songs such as “Panic in Detroit”, “Blue Jean” and “She’ll Drive the Big Car” that you can’t hear in the official “A REALITY TOUR”. I will.

そして、レア度で極めつけなのが『REALITY』の新曲「She’ll Drive the Big Car」。

The main press 2CD is a new masterpiece in 2004 when Bowie’s tour life has come to an end. However, even if it is an excellent live album below, the memorial site is something that will be remembered only by the eyes. Therefore, the masterpiece video shot in the fateful “2004” will also come with a special bonus.
“April 1, 2004 Toronto performance” is included in this work. This is an audience shot taken at the 3rd performance of “North America # 2” in the schedule of the main story.
The biggest point of this work is the highest quality. The image is 17 years ago, but its image quality and sound quality are currently the best. It is a distant view shot from the rear seats overlooking the front of the stage, but it features a bold zoom as well as a panoramic view overlooking the stage. When you say “distant view + zoom”, it’s not strange that the image is blurry, but this work is different. It seems to be using a tripod, and it has an unusually stable feeling.
Furthermore, I am glad that the delicate consideration is given. Bowie that moves the stage to the right and left is kept tight in the center of the screen, and scrolls smoothly without camera shake. When changing the highlights such as solos of each member, pull the whole view once and zoom again. Shaking left and right while zooming not only makes it difficult to see, but also creates a “confusion” in finding the highlight. By pulling it once, you can grasp the whole view and get closer to it smoothly. It is an effective technique both in terms of shooting and viewing. What’s more, it doesn’t change suddenly when zooming in / out, but at a speed that is easy to see, but pulls without hesitation. The quality tells me that the photographer is accustomed to recording after watching Bowie’s show.
The show drawn with such visual beauty is an enthusiastic performance that does not seem to be the time of fate. The schedule has advanced from the main press 2CD, and the set has changed further. Let’s organize by comparing here.

● 70’s (11 songs)
・ Ziggy Stardust: Hang On to Yourself / Starman (★) / Five Years / Suffragette City / Ziggy Stardust
・ Others: The Man Who Sold the World / Quicksand (★) / Rebel Rebel / Fame / “Heroes” / All the Young Dudes
● Since the 1980s (15 songs)
・ 80’s: Ashes to Ashes / Under Pressure / Modern Love (★) / China Girl
・ 90’s: Hallo Spaceboy / I’m Afraid of Americans
・ Heathen: Cactus / Sunday / Heathen (The Rays) (★) / Slip Away (★)
・ Reality: New Killer Star / Never Get Old / The Loneliest Guy / Days / Looking For Water (★)
* Note: “★” marks are songs that cannot be heard on the main press 2CD “DENVER 2004”.

… And it looks like this. A rare song that is different from the main press 2CD is shown. The late numbers “Slip Away” and “Looking For Water” are also delicious, but the most dazzling one is “Starman”. The resurrection on the “HEATHEN Tour” became a hot topic, but even after that, it was a masterpiece of “Jiggy Stardust” that was performed only in a limited number of venues. You can experience it in the field with a video.

Bowie collapsed immediately after the German performance of this tour. After that, I sang a few songs at the festival and jumped into the live performances of my friend musicians, but never toured again. This work is half a month after the last performance in Japan that we will never forget. It is a brand that captures Bowie wrapped in the last brilliance. The figure of him who traveled around the world and delivered his singing voice. Please enjoy it together with the new masterpiece press 2CD.

Hang On to Yourself/Starman(★)/Five Years/Suffragette City/Ziggy Stardust

Hallo Spaceboy/I’m Afraid of Americans
