Click Image To Enlarge 1974年「Relayer」ツアーより11月28日、フロリダはマイアミ公演をオーディエンス録音で約2時間に渡って完全収録。アンコールにおいて1974年ツアーで唯一Siberian Khatru が演奏されたことで有名な公演で、全編に渡って既発盤を凌駕する高音質で収録されており、この日の音源の印象を覆すような、クオリティの高いサウンドでショウを楽しむことができます。特に前半の72分は、完全初登場のマスターであり、この時代としては異例な程にしっかりしたサウンドです。マスターを確信させる鮮度の優れた音像で録音されており、各パーツの細かいプレイもしっかりと聴き分けられます。若干ボーカルのみ遠めですが、ベース、ギターの音の立ちっぷりは素晴らしく、説得力溢れるパワフルな演奏を楽しむことができます。ディスク２のショウ後半も、既発に比べ、クリアーでヒスノイズが少ない、驚くほどに良好なサウンドで収録されています。ツアー14公演目ということで、演奏にドライブがかかってきた、躍動感に満ちたライブは素晴らしく、独特の疾走感と力強さを感じさせる怒涛のパフォーマンスを堪能することができます。Close To The Edgeでは部分的にモラツのキーボードが怪しいところもありますが(15:15のキメのミス、シンセのピッチ、16分台のオルガンソロの構成混乱で他メンバー大迷惑など）、他の４人は神々しいまでの圧倒的な演奏を聴かせ、特に前半のハウのソロは必聴です。「Relayer」大作３曲ではモラツも危なげない演奏を披露しており、じっくりとこの時期のイエスの音世界に浸ることができます。攻撃的なリズム隊も含め、揺ぎ無いサウンド・ドラマを奏でるGates Of Deliriumでは、全員が重厚でいて、歯切れの良いプレイで楽曲を盛り立てます。（同曲6:03でテープチェンジのカットあり）13分辺りでのダイナミックな盛り上がりは必聴。ラストのSoonでのハウのギターとモラツのストリングスが奏でるパートは感動的です。観客も押し黙って聴いている感動的な雰囲気が伝わってきます。And You And Iも全員がノッた演奏を披露、ラストまで緊張感が持続した名演を楽しむことができます。ショウ後半の大曲Ritualも迫力満点のサウンドで収録されており、既発の印象を覆すようなクリアーな音質で、色彩感豊かなダイナミックな演奏を楽しむことができます。Siberian Khatru はアンコールラストで演奏されますが、Roundaboutのようにアランが暫しリズムをとってからスタートするという新鮮なアレンジ。冒頭からモラツの独特のシンセプレイが聴けますが、リフも指がしっかり回っており、楽しく聴くことができます。ハープシコード風のキーボードソロは、なんとオルガンでプレイ！５分台のシンセコードの入りが早すぎますが、他メンバーは動ぜず、ジャストで入ります。6分台のハウのカッティングプレイとシンセの絡みがかっこいいです。曲後半のハウとクリスのプレイは壮絶。イエス・ファンは間違いなくコレクションに加えていただきたい貴重なライブ・ドキュメントを楽しめます。 ★beatleg誌vol.104（2009年3月号）のレビュー要訳です。 イエスのパトリック・モラーツ在籍時代、「リレイヤー」ツアーから、1974年11月28日のマイアミ公演を完全収録した2枚組。完全版は初登場だ。カセット・テープによるオーディエンス録音で音源はほとんどモノラルに聞こえるが音圧がある。さすがに昔のテープは腰が強く、特に中低域の伸びは素晴らしい。パワフルな演奏、録音バランスも良好であり、当日のＰＡはもの凄い音圧で鳴っていたのではないかと想像してうらやましく思えてくるほどだ。本作の特徴は「危機」、「錯乱の扉」、「儀式」という20分強の3曲が演奏されていることと、アンコールに「シベリアン・カートゥル」が演奏されていることだろう。特にこのセット・リストでアルバム『危機』と『リレイヤー』が全曲演奏されていることは、ツアーの序盤でしかあり得なかったことなので、こうして聴けるようになったことはありがたい。我々が聴き慣れている「シベリアン・カートゥル」は、コンサートの1曲目に位置するものであり、アンコールに独特のカウントの後でスティーヴ・ハウが繰り出すイントロにはちょっとしびれてしまう。少なくともスティーヴにとっては、この曲はカントリー調のスウィングしたノリの曲なのだろう。まるで乗馬のように、今までに聴いたこともないテンポ感の「シベリアン・カートゥル」に感動した。後半に進むに連れて、どんどん歪んで来るが、資料的な価値の高い作品なので、全く気にならない。イエス・ファンを自負する人は早急に確認されたし。 Disc 1 1.
