The best combination in the blues world This is the real blues brothers, Buddy Guy and Junior Wells’ soundboard live sound source. In the 80’s, the blues were quite sophisticated in the world, but of course these two have nothing to do with that background. This sound source also involves the venue in a black Chicago vortex at my own pace. The style of inciting the junior venue and band members is as refreshing as ever, and Buddy’s guitar that explodes when inspired is exquisite. Is it Buddy’s familiar guitar phrase “DUST MY BROOM” or “SWEET HOME CHICAGO”? HELP ME”, the popular Teppan song “MESSIN’ WITH THE KID” with this tag, and Mick Jagger’s “MISS YOU”. Although it is a sound board sound source, there were some defects such as unevenness in volume, but the label’s own careful remastering has raised the quality so that even beginners can enjoy it.
ブルース界きっての名コンビこれぞホントのブルース・ブラザーズ、バディ・ガイとジュニア・ウェルズのサウンドボード・ライヴ音源です。80年代とあり世間的にはブルースもかなりソフィスティケイトされた時代ですが、もちろんこの二人にはそんな時代背景など関係ありません。この音源でもマイ・ペースで会場を黒いシカゴ渦に巻き込んでいます。ジュニアの会場やバンド・メンバーを煽るスタイルは相変わらず小気味よく、触発されて爆発するバディのギターは絶品。バディお馴染みギター・フレーズの『DUST MY BROOM』だか『SWEET HOME CHICAGO』だか（同じコード進行で歌詞も交じってるためどちらとも言えません・・・）や、ジュニア十八番のサニーボーイ・ウィリアムスン作『HELP ME』、このタッグで鉄板の人気曲『MESSIN’ WITH THE KID』、そしてミック・ジャガーの『MISS YOU』なんて選曲も。サウンドボード音源ですが音量にバラつきがあったりと不良個所もありましたが、レーベル独自の丁寧なリマスタリングにより初心者でも楽しめるクオリティまで引き上げられています。
