Focusing on genres such as jazz and blues, which had few collector’s items at the time, the valuable titles of the BMM label, which was extremely popular with fans, are now available in the regular low-priced reissue series Necromancer.
Buddy Guy and Junior Wells’ 1973 live remastered from FM Broadcast Master. It’s a little noisy, but it’s still a valuable soundboard. In the first place, it is swallowed by the performance and the noise disappears immediately. Moreover, the set list is a brilliant masterpiece to say that it is a hit medley of blues. “Green Onions” began as if waiting for the appearance of Otis Reading, T-Bone Walker’s “Stormy Monday”, Albert King’s “Born Under a Bad Sign”, BB King’s Squeeze guitar synonymous with “Thrill is Gone” and Sunny Boy Williamson (Rice Miller) “Help Me”. It’s enough. And the long-awaited junior wells, a partner who was touted as the best combination of blues, appeared. Soulful vocals and rhythmic harp, and exquisite leadership and great success with solos for each part. It is already a purchase decision. Buddy’s younger brother Phil Guy supports the back with a guitar. This is a must-have for both blues enthusiasts and blues beginners.
