This work is a great recording with a crisp and tight feeling. 先日の速報アルバム『SENDAI 2023（Uxbridge 1857）』が大好評を賜っておりますが、今週はその後の全公演を楽しめる３タイトルが同時リリース。本作は、その第一弾「2023年３月６日：大阪城ホール」公演の超極上オーディエンス録音です。何しろ一挙リリースですので、混乱しないようスケジュールと照らし合わせながら各タイトルを整理していきましょう。

【引き締まったタイト感の極上録音】
以上、全４公演。本作の大阪公演は、速報『SENDAI 2023』に続く２公演目でした。今回は日本各地の名録音家からオリジナル・マスターをご提供頂いたのですが、その中でも大阪と名古屋は同一人物によるコレクション。そう、当店お馴染みの“西日本最強テーパー”氏による業物なのです。
そんな本作はキリッと締まったタイト感が素晴らしい名録音。先日の『SENDAI 2023』も含め、今回の４公演は四者四様の個性が光る名作揃いなのですが、「万人に愛される」「サウンドボードっぽい」という観点なら本作こそがベストでしょう。とにかく音響成分が薄く、オンな芯のダイレクト感も、エッジまでクッキリと浮き立つ輪郭の鮮やかさも、一歩も二歩も抜きんでている。いくらクリアでもスカスカ感があっては気の抜けたコーラですが、本作の芯は手応えたっぷり、密度パンパンなのです。
そして、そのタイト感に支えられたセパレート感の見事さ。単にエッジが鋭いだけでごちゃごちゃに混ざっていては聴きづらいわけですが、本作は楽器１つひとつ、１音１音が綺麗に分離。バンド全員が紡ぐサウンド、会場中の大合唱が重なりまくっても混じらないセパレート感が美しい。“最強”氏の作品は「まるでサウンドボード」「現場で聴いたよりも良い音」と絶賛を集めますが、本作はその好例ともなるシグネチャー・サウンドなのです。

そんな極上タイト・サウンドで画かれるのは、密度の高いグレイテスト・ヒッツ。今回の来日公演は４公演すべてでセットを変えていました。初日『SENDAI 2023』は肩慣らしだったのか短めのセットでしたが、大阪は３曲も増量しているのです。ここで４公演全部を俯瞰した「固定曲」「日替わり曲」に分けて整理してみましょう。
