This time, we received original masters from famous recording artists all over Japan, but among them, Osaka and Nagoya are collections by the same person. This work is a great recording with a crisp and tight feeling. Including “SENDAI 2023” the other day, the four performances this time are masterpieces that shine with their individuality, but from the perspective of “loved by everyone” and “sound board-like”, this work is the best. prize. Anyway, the sound component is thin, and the direct feeling of the on-core and the vividness of the outline that stands out clearly to the edge are outstanding by one or two steps. No matter how clear it is, it’s a cola that feels empty and empty, but the core of this work is plenty of response and density.

先日の速報アルバム『SENDAI 2023(Uxbridge 1857)』が大好評を賜っておりますが、今週はその後の全公演を楽しめる3タイトルが同時リリース。本作は、その第一弾「2023年3月6日:大阪城ホール」公演の超極上オーディエンス録音です。何しろ一挙リリースですので、混乱しないようスケジュールと照らし合わせながら各タイトルを整理していきましょう。

【引き締まったタイト感の極上録音】
以上、全4公演。本作の大阪公演は、速報『SENDAI 2023』に続く2公演目でした。今回は日本各地の名録音家からオリジナル・マスターをご提供頂いたのですが、その中でも大阪と名古屋は同一人物によるコレクション。そう、当店お馴染みの“西日本最強テーパー”氏による業物なのです。
そんな本作はキリッと締まったタイト感が素晴らしい名録音。先日の『SENDAI 2023』も含め、今回の4公演は四者四様の個性が光る名作揃いなのですが、「万人に愛される」「サウンドボードっぽい」という観点なら本作こそがベストでしょう。とにかく音響成分が薄く、オンな芯のダイレクト感も、エッジまでクッキリと浮き立つ輪郭の鮮やかさも、一歩も二歩も抜きんでている。いくらクリアでもスカスカ感があっては気の抜けたコーラですが、本作の芯は手応えたっぷり、密度パンパンなのです。
そして、そのタイト感に支えられたセパレート感の見事さ。単にエッジが鋭いだけでごちゃごちゃに混ざっていては聴きづらいわけですが、本作は楽器1つひとつ、1音1音が綺麗に分離。バンド全員が紡ぐサウンド、会場中の大合唱が重なりまくっても混じらないセパレート感が美しい。“最強”氏の作品は「まるでサウンドボード」「現場で聴いたよりも良い音」と絶賛を集めますが、本作はその好例ともなるシグネチャー・サウンドなのです。

【人気曲たっぷりのグレテスト・ヒッツ】
そんな極上タイト・サウンドで画かれるのは、密度の高いグレイテスト・ヒッツ。今回の来日公演は4公演すべてでセットを変えていました。初日『SENDAI 2023』は肩慣らしだったのか短めのセットでしたが、大阪は3曲も増量しているのです。ここで4公演全部を俯瞰した「固定曲」「日替わり曲」に分けて整理してみましょう。

……と、このようになっています。曲数最多は翌日の『BUDOKAN 2023(Uxbridge 1860)』ですが、本作はそれに次ぐ2位。しかもセレクトが濃厚で、他公演でも組み替えで演奏された準定番とでも言える曲を網羅しているのです。この日のみの限定曲は「Cloud Number Nine」だけなので独自色は薄そうですが、だからこそ濃度の高い決定盤でもあるのです。
万人に愛されるタイト・サウンドと、準定番まで網羅した濃厚セット。今回の来日コレクションでも「まずはコレ!」となる代表作です。もちろん、4作全部お薦めの大傑作ではありますが、迷うなら本作をセレクトしてください。その素晴らしさに、きっと他3作にも手が伸びる。そんな2023年の新名盤。どうぞ、じっくりとご堪能ください。
