26-year-old Bruce Springsteen who stood on the stage for the first time in Britain after climbing up to the kid of the times with “Runaway Without Tomorrow”. The original version of the finest Pro Shot is the gift release decision.
The feature of this work is “November 18, 1975 London performance”. It is a multi-camera professional shot taken at the traditional famous venue “Hummersmith Odeon”. I think that this show has already come to the pin, but this show is also known as the excavation live album “HAMMERSMITH ODEON LONDON ’75”, and the video edition is familiar with the bonus DVD etc. of the 30th anniversary board “Tomorrow Without Runaway” .. This work is a copy of such an official DVD. .. .. Then there is not. In 2006, when the live album was released, it was a Japanese broadcasting version that was featured in the famous program “Golden Western Music Live” by a certain satellite broadcasting station.
Of course, the original taste of this work is a number of productions unique to Nippon Broadcasting, but it also shines because the show itself is legendary. Speaking of 1975, there are other excavators such as “THE ROXY 1975” and “TOWER THEATER, PHILADELPHIA 1975”. First, let’s look back at the schedule at that time and check the position.

This is the 1975 boss. Speaking of Japanese programs, there are subtitles and commentary sections, but this work has both. First, subtitles, but this is not just a Japanese translation of MC. A song title (original title, Japanese title, composition credit) is attached to each song, and a unique comment is also entered. For Springsteen, what kind of song is meaningful to the scene at that time, what is the theme singing …It is only a few lines of memo, so there are no surprising new facts, but it is natural to enter the song quickly, It’s a good job casually. Furthermore, “Spirit In The Night”. The performance is legendary as it immerses itself in the ditch (?), but even in the opening tweet vocal, the subtitles say “It’s dark at night! The moon shines weakly and leaves flutter.”
The explanation section has more impact. A leading person from the trendy Osamu family, who prevailed in the drama “Love nobody loves”, appeared and talked about Springsteen hotly. I’m frightened for a moment when I say “I’m a super idol,” but when I was told, “For example, the influence of blues on G-panes and washed-out T-shirts (which I wear) is what made the world aroused.” It makes me happy to feel that there is a boss behind the handsome guy. “It might be dull, but I’d like it to look cool,” he said. The feeling of shyness is natural and makes me smile.

This work will end with a bonus clip of 6 songs. I thought it would be better to broadcast the full-length show as much as adding clips, but with the appearance of recent 80’s hit songs and recent images such as “The Rising” “Pay Me My Money Down” It is certain that a sense of overall career will be created. 『明日なき暴走』で時代の寵児に登り詰め、初めてイギリスのステージにも立った26歳のブルース・スプリングスティーン。その極上プロショットの独自バージョンがギフト・リリース決定です。
そんな本作でフィーチュアされているのは「1975年11月18日ロンドン公演」。伝統の名会場“ハマースミス・オデオン”で撮影されたマルチカメラ・プロショットです。もうピンと来られていると思いますが、このショウは発掘ライヴアルバム『HAMMERSMITH ODEON LONDON ’75』になったことでも知られ、映像編も30周年盤『明日なき暴走』のボーナスDVD等でお馴染み。本作は、そんな公式DVDのコピー。。。では、ありません。ライヴアルバムが発売された2006年に某衛星放送局の名物番組“黄金の洋楽ライブ”で特集された日本放送バージョンなのです。
もちろん、本作独自の旨みは日本放送ならではの演出の数々なのですが、それもこれもショウ自体が伝説的だからこそ映える。1975年と言えば、他にも『THE ROXY 1975』『TOWER THEATER, PHILADELPHIA 1975』といった発掘盤もありますし、まずは当時のスケジュールを振り返ってポジションを確かめておきましょう。

これが1975年のボス。おおよそ母国アメリカを主戦場としてサーキットしており、『THE ROXY 1975』は「北米#2」、『TOWER THEATER, PHILADELPHIA 1975』は「北米#3」から誕生しました。その合間にポツンと約１週間だけ行われたのが「欧州」レッグ。わずか４公演という規模はツアーと呼ぶには頼りないものの、実はこれがスプリングスティーンにとって初の欧州コンサート。本作のハマースミス公演はその初日にあたり、彼にとって初英国どころか初めての海外公演だったのです。
そんな記念碑的なショウを記録した本作は（当たり前ですが）完全オフィシャル級。ライヴアルバムに先だってDVD化されていただけに、そのマスターをデジタル放送した映像美が公式級でないはずがないのです。実のところ、オフィシャル盤と比べると７曲少ない編集版だったりもするのですが、その代わり（？）となるのが番組独自の演出。日本番組と言えば字幕テロップと解説コーナーですが、本作には両方ある。まず字幕ですが、これが単なるMCの和訳ではない。１曲１曲に曲名（原題・邦題・作曲クレジット）が付せられ、さらに独自の寸評も入る。スプリングスティーンにとって、当時のシーンにとってどんな意味のある曲か、何をテーマに歌っているのか……あくまで数行のメモ程度なので驚きの新事実などありませんが、スッと自然に曲に入っていける、さり気なく良い仕事なのです。さらに「Spirit In The Night」。溝（？）にハマり込みながらのパフォーマンスが伝説的ですが、冒頭のつぶやきヴォーカルでも「夜はあくまでも暗く！　月はか弱く光を放ち…　葉は舞い落ちる」と字幕が入るのです。
それ以上のインパクトなのが解説コーナー。ドラマ『もう誰も愛さない』で一世を風靡したトレンディ御三家の筆頭格な方が登場し、スプリングスティーンを熱く語る。「スーパーアイドルという存在です」と断言されると一瞬怯みますが、「例えば、僕がＧパンや洗いざらしのＴシャツ（なんかを着るのは）やっぱりブルースの影響」と言われると、世間を沸かせたイケメンの裏にボスの存在か感じられて嬉しくなる。「もしかしたらダサいかも知れないけど、カッコ良く思わせちゃえばみたいな」と語る照れた感じが自然で思わずニヤッとしてしまうのです。

そんな本作は、６曲分のクリップもボーナス的に放送して幕を閉じます。クリップを追加するくらいなら本編ショウをフルで放送すれば良いのに……と思いつつ、80年代のヒット曲や「The Rising」「Pay Me My Money Down」といった近年の映像が出てくることでキャリアの総括感が醸されるのも確か。この番組をキッカケにブルース・スプリングスティーンにハマって欲しい！という制作が想いが透けて心地よくもあるのです。
ともあれ、初のイギリス公演を大フィーチュアした傑作プロショットの独自版です。初めて体験される方はもちろん、公式版に馴染んだ方も新鮮に再体験できる１枚。どうぞ、この機会にお楽しみください。
