Brian Setzer in 2006 who came to Japan with the special formation “THE NASH VILLAINS”. The best sound board album of the leaked out person who puts the pattern is appearing.
It is included in this work “October 30, 2006: Tokyo Kokendai Kinenkan” Performance. Sezsa has been visiting Japan many times by STRAY CATS and BSO, but this time it was a special tour entitled “NASHVILLAINS JAPAN TOUR 2006”. First of all, let’s check from the schedule of visiting Japan.

Over all, 7 shows. At the end I retired with three performances at Tokyo Kosho Kinenkan, and this work was the final show. This work that contained such a concert is the best stereo sound board. It is a stake outflow master brought about from our own route. That quality is as it is, literally “Official grade”. In fact, the official live album “RED HOT & LIVE!” Has also been released from this tour, but it is probably presumably recorded for that production.
Of course, how to say the official level is different from the official board. Take is different from the official board produced from the entire Japan tour and also includes 4 songs “Ignition”, “Drugs & Alcohol”, “We Are The Marauders” and “Rumble In Brighton” that can not be heard on the Official Board. It is a live album. Furthermore, the sound is also different. Naturally the official board has been treated in a work process such as elaborate mix, mastering, etc., but this work is drawn out entirely. Noise is generated at “Fishnet Stockings”, but even that is raw. It is a desk cabin direct sound board without overdub of great cheers.
Such a sound also suits this show furiously. THE NASHVILLAINS is a trio that became a core even at solo latest (then) work “13”, and a quartet organization that added SETZER there. It is a solid ensemble that is different from large BSO in both one-sidedness and lid taste. Every one of us, each instrument is a very thick sound board like rough rope, but it is entangled and draws out a rocky rockabilly like a telena. A great cheer is also far away, and because it is a directly connected sound of zero echoes, a vivid three-dimensional feeling is cast into the brain just to the skimmer of each other’s instruments.
If such an ensemble is special, the show is too special. As mentioned earlier, it is an expanded version of “RED HOT & LIVE!”, But the concept of the show is really clear. Standard + solo work “13” + STRAY CATS repertoire covered with tribute tribute work “ROCKABILLY RIOT!” It also consists of six songs beautifully. The only exceptions are “This Cat’s On A Hot Tin Roof” of “THE DIRTY BOOGIE” and “Ignition” of ’68 COMEBACK SPECIAL. It is a totally different show from BSO, such as taking up standard and new songs, as well as STRAY CATS, even though it’s rare “Runaway Boys” “Gene & Eddie”.

BRIAN SETZER & THE NASHVILLAINS, which was described as “STRAY CATS more loud, tight and enriched”. It is a stakeholder album that will be screwed in to the brains with the finest stereo sound board with all the stuff out. 特別編成の“THE NASHVILLAINS”を率いて来日した2006年のブライアン・セッツァー。その模様を収めた関係者流出の極上サウンドボード・アルバムが登場です。
本作に収められているのは「2006年10月30日：東京厚生年金会館」公演。セッツァーは、これまでSTRAY CATSやBSOで幾たびも来日していますが、この時は“NASHVILLAINS JAPAN TOUR 2006”と題した特別ツアーでした。まずは、その来日スケジュールから確認してみましょう。

以上、全７公演。最後は東京厚生年金会館３公演で〆ており、本作はその最終公演でした。そんなコンサートを収めた本作は、極上のステレオ・サウンドボード。当店の独自ルートからもたらされた関係者流出マスターなのです。そのクオリティたるや、文字通りの「オフィシャル級」。実際、このツアーからは公式ライヴアルバム『RED HOT & LIVE!』もリリースされていますが、恐らくはその製作用に録音されていたものと思われます。
もちろん、いかにオフィシャル級とは言っても公式盤とは中身が違う。ジャパンツアー全体から制作された公式盤とはテイクも異なる上、オフィシャル盤では聴けない４曲「Ignition」「Drugs & Alcohol」「We Are The Marauders」「Rumble In Brighton」も収録した１公演完全録音のライヴアルバムなのです。さらに、サウンドも違う。当然のことながら公式盤は精緻なミックスやマスタリング等々といった作業工程でトリートメントされていますが、本作は丸っきりの録って出し。「Fishnet Stockings」でノイズが発生してしまいますが、それさえもが生々しい。大歓声のオーバーダブもなしの卓直結サウンドボードなのです。
そんなサウンドがまた、このショウに猛烈に似合う。THE NASHVILLAINSはソロ最新（当時）作『13』でも核となったトリオで、そこにセッツァーを加えたカルテット編成。大所帯のBSOとはひと味もふた味も違うソリッドなアンサンブルなのです。１人ひとり、１つひとつの楽器が荒縄の如き極太サウンドボードなわけですが、それが絡みついてしめ縄のようなぶっといロカビリーを描き出している。大歓声も遠く、反響ゼロの直結サウンドだからこそ、互いの楽器のスキマまで鮮やかな立体感が脳みそに流し込まれるのです。
そんなアンサンブルも特別なら、ショウも特別すぎる。先述した通り、『RED HOT & LIVE!』の拡大版なわけですが、ショウのコンセプトは実に明快。サンレコードのトリビュート作『ROCKABILLY RIOT!』でカバーしたスタンダード＋ソロ作『13』＋STRAY CATSレパートリー。それも綺麗に６曲ずつで構成されています。例外と言えば『THE DIRTY BOOGIE』の「This Cat’s On A Hot Tin Roof」と’68 COMEBACK SPECIALの「Ignition」だけです。スタンダードや新曲はもちろん、STRAY CATSにしても珍しい「Runaway Boys」「Gene & Eddie」を取り上げるなど、BSOとはまったく違ったショウなのです。

「STRAY CATSをよりラウド、タイト、そして豊かにした変種」と評されたBRIAN SETZER & THE NASHVILLAINS。その一部始終をムキ出しの極上ステレオサウンドボードで脳みそにねじ込んでくる関係者アルバムです。『RED HOT & LIVE!』の拡張・完全版としてはもちろん、卓直結ならではの強力な生々しさで圧倒する１枚。まさに“極めつけ”なライヴアルバム、どうぞ存分にお楽しみください。
