デビュー直後の全盛期である1977年3月16日のロング・ビーチ・アリーナ公演を高音質放送音源で収録。この日は昼の部と夜の部と2回行われたもので、それぞれが1枚ずつの2枚組となっており、完璧なサウンドボードである。ラジオ用のミックスなので、ライヴ中にリアルタイムでレコーディングが行なわれたもの(俗に言う同録音源）なので、頭の方はヴォーカルが右に寄ったりと多少バランスの悪いところも見受けられるが、それも徐々に改善されていく。ヴォーカルのブラッド・デルプの声も良く出ているが、流石に1日に2公演ということで、セーブしながらのパフォーマンスとなっていて「More Than A Feeling」のトップ部分は辛い状況だ。だが、新曲として「DON’T LOOK BACK」から披露される「A Man I’ll Never Be」の熱唱は圧巻である。夜の部は「キング・ビスケット・フラワー・アワー」でオンエアされているが、特に昼の部の音源は初登場ということもあり、全アメリカン・ロック・ファン必聴の内容である。
