Rare Mono Mixes 1965-1967

Like the Beatles and Stones, Dylan also has two types of stereo and monaural in the 60’s record. The mono / mix of each album to “JOHN WESLEY HARDING” of 1968 realized the official CD, but his mono sound source does not stay in the album. This is also similar to the Beatles and Stones, which is a record of the 60’s. Furthermore, there are also singles recovered, singles released only in countries other than the United States. They have never been released official at the time and there is not even a sign of that. If it is a master for a single, there is a possibility that the master is no longer left. If it existed, is not it a CD before a long time ago?
So it was the origin of this release that overseas maniacs got up and gathered rare mono sound sources of scattered 60’s Dylan. He carefully transferred from the records of those days. Just in 2017 when the record was fully restored as the press factory resumed, the value of the second-hand record rise, even if just gathering it will require considerable financial strength and labor. Besides, it is very difficult to transfer the 60’s vintage vinyl without scratch noise. However, he gathered those rare vinyls in a super clear state. I would like to introduce details of mono sound source recorded here.

★ Disc-1
1. If You Gotta Go, Go Now (Dutch Mono 45)
It was common sense that this song which had entered the store in 1965 was released as a single in only some countries such as the Netherlands in 67 years. However, the version heard in this single has never been included in the album in the official. This was the overdubbing of the chorus group’s song in the session without Dylan expecting the release possibility after deciding to enter the warehouse in 1965. The atmosphere is different from the version etc that is heard in the bootleg series. It is the first time ever to make this single CD into history, and it will be the first time to be heard in a clear state so far. And more than anything now single has become very expensive.

2. Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window? (Mono Mispress 45)
Dai “Haidase from the window,” that the “Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window?” Is a another band and the non-stop recording songs that heal after once shelved, in fact, the song also had people quarrel upon release. First in the wrong Song Title when it is released not only had been printed on the label as “Positively 4th Street”, you contents also had been recorded originally shelved to have version. Of course, it was collected immediately, but because of that, this mistake single version has become a regular sound source for boot leg recording since the LP era.
However, in past releases, the intro’s drums were often missing and recorded, but here it is fully recorded. Not only that but also the sound quality is cleanest. It is also attractive that this version is more pop finish.

3. Pledging My Time (Canada / UK Mono LP) 3: 58
4. Visions Of Johanna (Canada / UK Mono LP) 7: 32
5. I Want You (Canada / UK Mono LP) 3:12
6. Stuck Inside Of Mobile (Canada / UK Mono LP)
7. Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat (Canada / UK Mono LP)

Since the name plate “BLONDE ON BLONDE” is a classic album of rock, repressing has been done many times, it is known that mix differences exist in stereo. However, in monaural, an unusual situation occurred that another mix was released from the beginning when it was released. Especially the Canadian board is known to contain many different mixes, and in any of these songs the timing of the fade-out is longer than the regular one. “Pledging My Time” is the death of editing of fade-out to listen to a different sentence for a long time.
“Visions Of Johanna” is not the length of the ending, but overall the lobby Robertson’s guitar was mixed more than usual. The “Stuck Inside Of Mobile” is not an ending, and the dry state in which echo is not applied to vocals is different from ordinary things. And “Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat” is surprising because fade-out is earlier than normal version.

8. Most Likely You’ll Go Your Way (Canada Mono LP)

It is this song which makes the mix difference in Canadian boards mono. This is like a long fade-out or a different mixture before. The sound of the drum that Kenny Batley hits is extraordinarily large, and I can only imagine that this was wrongly putting a rough mix. By the way, even if you make stereo only for one channel, it will not be like this. This is a different mixture of different colors.

9. Temporary Like Achilles (Canada Mono LP)
10. Absolutely Sweet Marie (Canada Mono LP)

These are obviously mixes in a rough state, “Temporary Like Achilles” sounds of drums and guitars are out front in front of Dylan’s voice. “Absolutely Sweet Marie” is not only a quiet balance mix, but it will fade out quickly as Dylan begins to blow Harmonica in the ending.

11. Fourth Time Around (Canada Mono LP)

Even a stereo board is famous for a mix whose organ sounds all the while beside Dylan’s songs, but this is a monophonic version. The organ is pretty annoying (laugh).

12. Obviously Five Believers (Canada Mono LP)

There is no echo in Dylan’s voice at all. Dry finish.

13. Sad-Eyed Lady Of The Lowlands (Canada Mono LP)

Interestingly, the thing of this song has a disappointment that the drum (hi hat) is more conspicuous in the normal version, but the Canadian board mix is better balanced and moist and finished. I wonder if this one fits the atmosphere of the song.

★ Disc-2
1. Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat (French Mono LP)
2. Temporary Like Achilles (French Mono LP)
3. Fourth Time Around (French Mono LP)
4. Obviously Five Believers (French Mono LP)

“BLONDE ON BLONDE” also included another mix in the French version of the item. “Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat” is echoed throughout the performance and “Obviously Five Believers” is a mix of Dylan’s voice extruded. The superstition is “Fourth Time Around”, the organ sound is further pushed out, the balance which is finally breaking the atmosphere of the song. Still it’s fun to say that the timing of the fade-out is longer than any mono version.

5. Million Dollar Bash (Mono Promo Mix)
6. Yea! Heavy And A Bottle Of Bread (Mono Promo Mix)
7. Please Mrs. Henry (Mono Promo Mix)
8. Crash On The Levee (Mono Promo Mix)
9. Lo And Behold (Mono Promo Mix)
10. Tiny Montgomery (Mono Promo Mix)
11. This Wheel’s On Fire (Mono Promo Mix)
12. You Is not Goin ‘Nowhere (Mono Promo Mix)
13. I Shall Be Released (Mono Promo Mix)
14. Too Much Of Nothing (Mono Promo Mix)
15. Tears Of Rage (Mono Promo Mix)
16. Quinn The Eskimo (Mono Promo Mix)
17. Open The Door Homer (Mono Promo Mix)
18. Nothing Was Delivered (Mono Promo Mix)

It is familiar basemen and tapes that occupy the majority of the second disc. A monaural acetate was made from the recording at this time, and it was distributed as an objective promo to have other artists cover it. It came around and became the source of the countless LP bootleg that started with the world’s first bootleg “GREAT WHITE WONDER”.
This promotional mono / mix has never been converted into a CD, and when the same sound source was released in the bootleg series in 2015, it is said to be a record item of a record / store day that was in the same period as a record It was released only in format. LP “THE ORIGINAL BASEMENT TAPE” was sold out in the moment of arrival in Japan and it was sold out to the shelf of the item collector, although the design conscious of the completely old LP boot was said to put a stamp and slick on the cover It seems that there are not many people who have heard the contents of the conclusion as a result of being contained.
This part is made into a CD from its analog release. Unlike recordings from acetate like the vintage boot LP of the past year, the original tapes made from the original master tapes made LP items by the latest technology, so the sound quality is perfect. Unlike the regular base of stereo, echoes are added, and the monaural sound which the original idyllic atmosphere was more heartwarming is fresh. Furthermore it will be realistically transmitted until the air feeling of 1967 years.
And, through the two discs from 1965 to 67 years, a fulfilling selection of Dylan at the height of the peak. It is not amusing to call this another best board. In this release we can cover all the rare, mono, and mix of the 60’s at the famous board ‘FREEWHEELIN’ RADIO STATION PROMO ‘. Bonus is also the best item to the vintage feeling full of Womi monaural sound and a rare version number is clear sound without a scratch noise she can play back in easily CD of classic to. Here is one thing, Please ring with a large volume from the speaker and grab a lot of the feeling of monaural!

★Disc-1
1. If You Gotta Go, Go Now (Dutch Mono 45)

2. Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window? (Mono Mispress 45)
邦題「窓からはい出せ」こと「Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window?」

3. Pledging My Time (Canada/UK Mono LP) 3:58
4. Visions Of Johanna (Canada/UK Mono LP) 7:32
5. I Want You (Canada/UK Mono LP) 3:12
6. Stuck Inside Of Mobile (Canada/UK Mono LP)
7. Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat (Canada/UK Mono LP)

8. Most Likely You’ll Go Your Way (Canada Mono LP)

9. Temporary Like Achilles (Canada Mono LP)
10. Absolutely Sweet Marie (Canada Mono LP)

11. Fourth Time Around (Canada Mono LP)

12. Obviously Five Believers (Canada Mono LP)

13. Sad-Eyed Lady Of The Lowlands (Canada Mono LP)

★Disc-2
1. Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat (French Mono LP)
2. Temporary Like Achilles (French Mono LP)
3. Fourth Time Around (French Mono LP)
4. Obviously Five Believers (French Mono LP)

5. Million Dollar Bash (Mono Promo Mix)
6. Yea! Heavy And A Bottle Of Bread (Mono Promo Mix)
7. Please Mrs. Henry (Mono Promo Mix)
8. Crash On The Levee (Mono Promo Mix)
9. Lo And Behold (Mono Promo Mix)
10. Tiny Montgomery (Mono Promo Mix)
11. This Wheel’s On Fire (Mono Promo Mix)
12. You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere (Mono Promo Mix)
13. I Shall Be Released (Mono Promo Mix)
14. Too Much Of Nothing (Mono Promo Mix)
15. Tears Of Rage (Mono Promo Mix)
16. Quinn The Eskimo (Mono Promo Mix)
17. Open The Door Homer (Mono Promo Mix)
18. Nothing Was Delivered (Mono Promo Mix)
