Lived from 1988 to 1990 at the time of the guitarist GE · Smith who boasted huge popularity among Dylan Mania. The golden season, which spans three years, has a very high level of performance on every day, and is characterized by each year, and it is interesting to listen to any show. If you continue to hear the same tour sound source, you will not get tired of listening. So this time we will release the best sound source from the 1989 European Tour on a limited press CD.
It is also very interesting to say this tour. The music played every time was “I Shall Be Released” and “Like A Rolling Stone”, and after that, the music changed from the opening to a garbled appearance. A rare cover song also jumps out. At the end of the story, Dylan’s mood changes the development of the performance. That’s why it is no exaggeration to say that it is worth listening to the entire tour. This release will be a live performance in Athens, the capital of Greece, which took place on June 28th.
In addition, the tour recording of the highest peak of the tour is rolling with Gorogoro, and last year was the new one in memory that the premiere at The Hague was released as “HAGUE 1989” on June 10th. As indicated by the title, the audience recording for this tour really sounds good. The sound quality of this time Athens is amazing again. This is a sound image of a powerful sound that you would like to call it a “sound board”, and you can be surprised by the on-balance as if you were listening to Dylan’s performance in the front row anyway. “HAGUE 1989” was also so, but this time it is the best sound source to be heard with confidence without any problems from beginners to manias. This is appropriate for the format called limited press CD. Even if the sound board recording of this day leaked out, it may not be able to taste the realism that the liveliness of the live and the power of the performance are transmitted so far.
The year 89 is also the year that Dylan’s and GE Smith’s guitar combinations have changed. Until then, GE was dedicated to lead guitars and Dylan was devoted to rhythms, but from this year he also began playing reed and riff phrases in earnest. Dylan started playing the riff at the end of the last “Maggie’s Farm” on this day, and Bruce Jam started, but this is a scene that can be called a classic of 89 years. Moreover, because the sound quality is good, the guitar work of each of the two can be clearly discerned.

Content is great again. Because the sound is so good, it is also firmly transmitted that Dylan’s switch is turned on from around “Shelter From The Storm”, and his song is getting more and more hot. And the first thing to hear on this day is “Every Grain Of Sand”. It’s a surprise here because it was played as an acoustic version of GE and only two people. This was a very wonderful and wonderfully echoing performance, but it was also a very valuable live version of what was played only in full acoustic format.
In the middle of the live, Hank Williams’ “House Of Gold” valuable country cover will also be played, but probably because she sings her favorite songs, Dylan’s daring songs will have an excellent performance. is showing. As a result, it was also a very unusual pattern that this song was played in the form of breaking into the medley which concludes the live main title “I Shall Be Released” to “Like A Rolling Stone”.
Encore is great again. The curtain was opened with a traditional cover “Lakes Of Pontchartrain” with an unforgettable 88 year tour. It is brighter than the previous year, and it is fresh to be played in a more powerful atmosphere, and if you like to play “The Times They Are A-Changin ‘” from then on, no one can stop Dylan.
And Van Morrison appeared to show off his own song to the last minute. This is amazing to hear Dylan’s breathtaking song, but when it was supposed that Morrison’s document “ONE IRSH ROVER” was taken by BBC the day before, Dylan agreed to appear and two people I was playing the same two songs on the hills of Athens. It became a duet appropriate for the final day of the tour, with a striking sense of collaboration more than a rough rough. Especially “Crazy Love” is excellent.

Even though it was a famous sound source that boasts only this content and sound quality, the already-delivered items that have recorded live completely so far are only the release of “HOUSE OF GOLD” from the THIN MAN label 10 years ago. Moreover, the item of the same label was only CD conversion of the sound source which had been on the net, and the high pitch which was the fault of this sound source remained uncanny. That alone was enough negative, but the gap between the tracks that resulted from the mistake when it was burned to CD-R that was on the market at the time was the same, and it was a rude making.
But this time of course based on the better copy without such gap, it is of course carefully adjusted the pitch of the pitch carefully and promoted to a decision board without complaints. Good performance, good content, and the best sound source among the 89 year European tour that appeared to Van Morrison. There is no way to complain.

★ Amazing super high sound quality. It is also the first version with pitch correction.
