Bob Dylan started the tour this year as if he was active all his life. The latest live sound source is released from UXBRIDGE at the best audience.
This year’s tour, “ALBUQUERQUE 2022” is on sale from the leg in March, but it will resume from Spokane on May 28 with a month and a half off in April. This time, the performance will be released at the fastest speed, but the sound quality of the original audience recording is wonderful. Not only is the sound image close, but the overall moist feeling is exquisite. It’s definitely a level that wouldn’t be strange if it was released on a press CD.
The set list itself has exactly the same composition as that of March and April, but it seems that Dylan has evolved the performance. In particular, the numbers of yesteryear are becoming lighter, and the lightness of playing songs such as “Most Likely You Go Your Way (and I’ll Go Mine)” and “To Be Alone With You” is more light than during the spring tour. It has a nice atmosphere. Even more surprising is Dylan’s unabated performance, which celebrated his 81st birthday four days before the show. He sings every repertoire, if he thinks he’s played the piano endlessly even after he’s over 80 years old. In addition, there is plenty of room to make small comments in between. Who could have predicted that the great men of the 1960s, who had a career of 50 years, would continue to stand on the stage so flexibly in 2022? The song “Every Grain of Sand”, which has been the closing number since last year, has evolved from last year, but it is also powerful.
Although it was the first day of the second tour this year, the engine was already fully open. Dylan is trying to handle the third tour schedule as a matter of course since the resumption of the tour in Korona-ka last year. Still, it’s an audience recording with very good sound quality, and I can’t help but be surprised to hear that it’s unbelievably over 80 years old. The back performance that supports Dylan is also rock solid. The light momentum I mentioned earlier is nothing but the band itself enjoying the stage. 1960s allies Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, and The Who have also been touring actively earlier this year, but Dylan is the leader. As long as my body moves, I will continue to stand on the tour … The latest audience album that conveys the ever-evolving live sound and the powerful stage performance that can be said to be such a declaration with the highest sound quality!
