B.O.C. appeared on various radio and television music programs from the 1970s to the early 1980s, when the band was the most creative and had the momentum of sunrise, leaving behind many broadcast sources. “CHICAGO MIRRORS” and “SOFT WHITE ERECTUS”, which were released the other day and became a hot topic among fans, are just one of those broadcast sound sources, and BOC at this time was not only a program that completely recorded such live performances. , We provide countless sound sources for radio shows with limited broadcasting slots, and keep their performances. This work is a compilation of these various FM sound sources and masters for broadcasting.

Disc 1 contains both the Cleveland, Ohio performance on October 8, 1973 and the New York Long Island performance on May 17, 1975, with stable FM sources. The main Cleveland performance is a tour after the release of the 2nd album “TYRANT AND MUTATION”, and this edition contains the best sound source among various masters currently confirmed. There was only a live performance before it was commercially refined, and the play here, such as “Screams” and “Workshop Of The Telescopes” in the first half, is a very heavy and dark mouth that fits the name of “original heavy metal”. Disc1には’73年10月8日にオハイオ州クリーヴランド公演と、’75年5月17日のニューヨーク・ロングアイランド公演を、どちらも安定したFMソースで収録しています。メインとなるクリーヴランド公演は、2ndアルバム「TYRANT AND MUTATION」リリース後のツアーで、本盤には現在確認されている各種マスターの中でも最良の音源を収録しています。商業的に洗練される前の段階のライヴだけあって、前半の「Screams」や「Workshop Of The Telescopes」など、ここでのプレイは”元祖ヘヴィ・メタル”の名にふさわしい、非常にヘヴィで濃い口の演奏が繰り広げられています。また2ndアルバム収録の「Quicklime Girl」が、アルバムリリース直後のライヴで聴けるのも本作の特徴で、見通しよく聴き易い音質もあって、ファンには決定版クラスとして迎えられるでしょう。　さらに後半は7分にわたる「Back’s Boogie」に16分を越える「It’s Not Easy」（フェイドアウトするのが残念！）で、当時のDEEP PURPLE並みのインタープレイを聴かせ、演奏本位のライヴは後の楽曲主体のライヴと異なる、’70年代前半ならではの空気を満喫できます。
終盤に4曲収められたロングアイランド公演はKing Biscuit Flower Hourからの放送音源で、3rdアルバム「SECRET TREATIES」リリース後のライヴを、クリアでステレオ感たっぷりの録音で楽しめます。1stアルバムの「Stairway To The Stars」でスタートしているものの、この放送は「Dominance And Submission」・「Astronomy」など、3rdアルバムからの曲を中心としたセレクトで、ディスク内における曲の重複も無く、名演と名曲の連発で70分間もあっと言う間に過ぎてしまうでしょう。

Disc2へは’76年9月20日のニューヨーク・アルバニー公演と、’77年12月30日のミシガン州デトロイト公演を、合わせて約73分にわたり収録しています。アルバニー公演は’75年のテイクと同じKing Biscuit Flower Hour音源ながら、演奏が空間をより濃密に埋めた迫力あるサウンドが特徴で、「This Ain’t The Summer Of Love」や「(Don’t Fear) The Reaper」など、4thアルバム「AGENTS OF FORTUNE」から生まれたばかりの名曲を堪能できます。特に「Morning Final」はこの時期のみの聴き所で、叙情的な曲想をFMソースならではの公式感覚ある音像で聴けるのは、ファンを大いに喜ばせるでしょう。マスターの都合上「This Ain’t The Summer Of Love」と「(Don’t Fear) The Reaper」が終盤でカットされているのが何とも残念です。
5曲目からは’77年12月30日のデトロイト公演になります。　このテイクは”BBC Rock Hour”での放送用マスターLPからダイレクトに音盤化されており、クリアさはもちろん各パートのミックスもオフィシャルレベルである上に、使用されたマスターのコンディションも一級品と、本作中でも屈指の高音質を誇っています。「(Don’t Fear) The Reaper」のヒットでバンドの存在感は大きくなっており、マスターの収録内容からはラジオ番組での扱いも大きくなっているのが判ります。当時の新作「SPECTORS」から放送におけるチョイスは「R.U. Ready 2 Rock」と「Godzilla」の2曲だけですが、ここに至るまでの名曲が光り輝くような極上音質で楽しめるのは嬉しく、「Born To Be Wild」中盤でエリック ブルームが「レイザー！」と叫んで当時のレーザー効果によるショウアップを魅せる場面は、熱気あふれるステージの様子が目に浮かんできそうです。　本来ならこのデトロイト公演だけでプレスCD化されても何の不思議も無い、破格のライヴをお楽しみください！

ラストのDisc3はB.O.C.が絶頂期を迎えた’80年代前半のライヴを、CDの容量ギリギリの80分弱にわたってコンパイルしています。前半は’80年9月24日のニューヨーク・ポキプシー公演をKing Biscuit Flower Hourの放送用サウンドボード音源より、後半には’82年の、同じく9月24日のマサチューセッツ州ウースター公演を、こちらも公式級のギラギラとした放送音源で収録しています。’80年の音源は一部のマニアの間で「80年11月2日」として知られていましたが、バンドのツアー記録には’80年11月の日程が存在せず、実際のポキプシー公演は9月24日だと判明しています。’80年ライヴのサウンドボードソースは「SOFT WHITE ERECTUS」で登場していますが、本音源はそれをも上回るきらびやかな音像が魅力で、「Dr, Music」や「The Great Sun Jester」といったこの時期ならではの演奏を楽しめます。また定番の「E.T.I.」や「(Don’t Fear) The Reaper」もDisc2収録の各テイクと比べてぐっと洗練されており、バンドサウンドの進化や変化も感じ取れます。　わずか5曲・24分程度の長さが残念に感じる、演奏・音質とも最上のテイクです。
