なにしろロブ＆SABBATHは、ド級の注目を集めた“夢の共演”。そのため、当時から数多くアナログビデオも出回り、本作の映像もまた同じ映像。「11月14日」「11月15日」共にステージ左のギーザー寄りからステージ全景を捉えたもので、ご覧になったことのある方も多いのではないでしょうか。しかし、そのジェネレーションは、かつてのビデオとはまるで違う。近年、ネットに登場したマスターを使用しており、トラッキングノイズや画面の歪みもほとんどなく、マスタークオリティでこの夢の光景が見られるのです。その画質と同様に素晴らしいのがサウンド。その録音クオリティは、かつて音声だけがCD化もされてきた歴史が物語っている通り。さすがに本編プレス２CD「COSTA MESA 1992 THE LEGENDARY MASTER」と比べてしまうと、ダイレクト感や滑らかさは叶いませんが、マスター鮮度でノイズも最小限なのですから、従来のCDRタイトルよりも優れたサウンドでたっぷりと楽しめるのです。
ディスク１に収められているのは、初日となった「11月14日」。アングルは２日間とも似通っているものの、こちらは遮蔽物もほとんどなく、見やすさは一歩抜きん出ています。セットリストも似ていますが、この日だけ演奏した「Computer God」の存在もあり、より“ロニーの代役”イメージが強い日です。「PANKILLER」から急速にスキンヘッド化の進んだロブは全身黒のレザー・スーツに身を固め、“鋼鉄の司祭”といった佇まい。BLACK SABBATHらしさと自分らしさを巧みに融合させつつ、歴代シンガーの誰とも違い、JUDAS PRIESTとも違うイメージを創り上げている。たった２日間にも関わらず、凄まじい気合いの入れようです。

代わってのディスク２は「11月15日」。ロブ＆SABBATHとオジーをえたオリジナル再結成の両方が収められています。アングルは14日に酷似しているものの、こちらは若干前列の影が視界に入ります。また「Mob Rules」ではビデオの接触不良による音声の乱れがありますが、「Children Of The Grave」からは安定します。既発ブートレッグで「Mob Rules」が収録されていないものは、このビデオマスターを使用しており、乱れのせいでカットされているのです。その「Children Of The Grave」は、前日にはなかった曲。冒頭でロブが歌の入りを間違えてしまい、トニー・アイオミが側により、「ちょ、違う違う、はい、ここから」とガイドするのも微笑ましいシーンです。もうひとつ、“この日だけ”のレアトラックは、前日の「Supernaut」の代わりになっているアンコール冒頭の「Sweet Leaf」。ここではロブが「Smokin’ what?」と呼びかけ、観客が「Sweet Leaf!!」と反応。もう一度「Smokin’ what?」「Sweet Leaf!!」「Smoker!!!」と繰り返すのですが、これがまんま「Breakin’ The Law」のノリになっています。
ディスク２には、さらにオリジナルSABBATHも収録。こちらはスクリーン・ショットも多用されており、プロショットのような見応えです。１曲目の「Black Sabbath」こそオジーのオフィシャル映像「LIVE & LOUD」にも収録されていますが、本作ではその全長版が見られるわけです。しかも、客席撮影らしいリアリティもたっぷり。今となってはオリジナルSABBATHの有難味も薄く感じてしまいますが、“ついに伝説が！”という現場ムードはやはり圧倒的。オジーは、1985年のLIVE AIDでの再結成で「SABBATHは終わった」と感じたそうですが、ここではメンバー全員が満面の笑みをたたえ、満足感が画面からあふれだしそう。それを象徴するような「I’ll Be Back」の仕掛け花火と共に、本作は幕を閉じます（引退する気ないじゃないか！）。

絶好調の“ロブ＆SABBATH”と、会場中がエクスタシー状態の“オリジナルSABBATH”。その双方が一度に起こった“1992年コスタメサ公演”を、現存するベスト・マスターで目撃できる２枚組です。「タイムマシンがあったら、どのライヴが見たい？」というのは飲み屋の定番ですが、本作は、そんなタイムマシンの代わりになってくれる１本。今週末、あなたの自宅で史上最高の重金属パラダイスが開演です！
