Than “Stranger,” “52nd Street New York,” “Glass House” and in 1981 the third time of the Japan tour that took place at a time that was a string of global blockbuster, the first day Budokan performances, complete with high quality audience recording recording. The eagerly-awaited one using the original master cassette that is not floating around at all to direct even among traders. Musical tone has been securely record, also added a moderate realism in there, it has become a great document. Overall sound image is very stable, stress-free, you can as possible to listen at once. Disk 2 in the second half (also out of the question with respect to shooting death of John Lennon.) Pattern at the time of the press conference and further has three songs in Tokyo take from the time of the broadcast sound source is added recording. It is one of enhancement representative of the 1981 Japan tour.

★ is a review summary of beatleg magazine vol.88 (No. 11 2007). In case you’re wondering.

April 15, 1981, recorded the Nippon Budokan performance with a good stereo audience recording. At the time of the latest album “Glass Houses” was shining for the first time the band only recorded work is (it to the studio musicians are many guest participation) ,, single, in the United States No. 1 in both the album. People who had strengthened the rock ‘n’ roll color stores became a hot topic would also be many. Perhaps because, I tour that is showing the unity than before as a band, but seems really the first day to or was the sound alignment and intro that does not engage in between songs. Budokan of 17 days from the Japan tour, 20 days of Osaka the first day, but a sound source of Kyoto’s 24 days of the final performance (fan-release) is out, this first day is the first appearance. “Prelude ~ Angry Young Man” is to listen to is this only place in the Japan tour sound source now. Or doing the epic “Scenes From An Itarian Restaurant”, also points have changed somewhat track the Budokan performance of 17 days. The also rare’re playing “The Stranger” in the end. Since singing the treble part of current and unlike the bridge portion, although the rise song, probably was hard much of a burden to the throat, in the subsequent 17 days sound source is turned up repeatedly in the middle. Personally to become a high spirits of the second half of the up-tempo 17 days after the song order is, but I like a smooth. Encore 1, but is regrettable is the intro of the song “I’ts Still Rock And Roll To Me” is missing, at the time to not come out immediately as of now, can not be helped place because there was no DAT that can be recorded for a long time (many people would stop after the main end). Also you play between the songs you do not know just playing music is also a part of the fun of Billy live, comes through fun feel atmosphere in this performance. Pattern and sound board sound source three songs of the bonus is Japan laughter press conference, all first appearance sound source. But regrettable that “The Strange” in the middle has been edited short, at that time a sound source of published an interview in a magazine together, to admire and something that has been well preserved, it can be said to be close to a miracle. Enough to buy just this if fan. But because this content if press CD even release at will was good Ni CD-R is not a shame, I hope in the future of the excavation because there are many Japan tour sound source that has not been still release.
