The Beatles’ last studio album “LET IT BE”, which has become a hot topic in the 2021 documentary release and special edition, is an alternate album “Let It Be” Rehearsals reconstructed based on a valuable rehearsal sound source. Introducing the original GOLDIES label. [“LET IT BE” ALBUM (REHEARSALS EDITION)], which was finished as an alternate album completely different from the original by replacing all songs of the album with naked session sound sources, was edited by Glyn Johns and finally unreleased. [ORIGINAL “KUM BACK” THE FIRST GLYN JOHNS ACETATE] which contains the first acetate master that is the prototype of the album “GET BACK”, and an interesting version with different contents from the alternate album [“LET IT BE” ALTERNATE REHEARSALS] and other valuable sound sources that have not been officially announced so far are recorded. The album “LET IT BE” was edited from the unreleased album “GET BACK” by Phil Spector, including overdubbing of the orchestra, and the song selection was changed. Finally, it was released in 1970, and then “LET” in 2003. There was also a re-edited release of “IT BE … NAKED” that was closer to the original sound. In this “Rehearsals”, all the rooftop sound sources that were shown live by the songs were replaced with studio rehearsal sound sources based on the concept of editing faithfully to the real original sound from the “Get Back Session”. I am. So far, many “get back sessions” have been distributed in various forms, but the original Nagra reel sound source is monaural, and the BEEP sound interferes everywhere and the recording is interrupted due to camera roll switching. Although there were many drawbacks, this time it was recorded in the original edit that was converted to stereo by the latest digital remastering work and restored to the interruption of the performance and the removal of the BEEP sound. More than “NAKED”, the original sound is completely reproduced with no overdubbing. In addition to all the songs on the album, “Alternate Rehearsal” has carefully selected versions with rougher performances and different arrangements. The valuable session that gives a glimpse of the song production process is noteworthy. Furthermore, the first acetate master “KUMBACK”, which is the prototype of the unreleased album “GET BACK”, is a pre-stage that is also known to have been broadcast by the American radio station WBCN, and the song selection and editing are different from the final form of Glyn Johns. It is a recording that can compare the difference with the rehearsal with the sound source. This is the latest collector’s item that has been carefully edited in a different dimension from the one that recorded many “Get Back Sessions” as it is.

2021年ドキュメンタリー公開やスペシャル・エディションで話題となっているビートルズ最後のスタジオ・アルバム『LET IT BE』が貴重なリハーサル音源を元に再構成したオルタネイト・アルバム『”レット・イット・ビー”リハーサルズ』としてGOLDIESレーベル・オリジナルで新登場。アルバム全曲をネイキッドなセッション音源に置き換えてオリジナルとはまったく異なるオルタネイト・アルバムに仕上げられた【”LET IT BE” ALBUM (REHEARSALS EDITION)】、グリン・ジョンズによって編集され最終的には未発表となったアルバム『GET BACK』の原型となるファースト・アセテート原盤を収録した【ORIGINAL”KUM BACK” THE FIRST GLYN JOHNS ACETATE】さらにオルタネイト・アルバムとは内容の異なる興味深いバージョンが集められた【”LET IT BE” ALTERNATE REHEARSALS】といった内容でいずれもこれまで公式未発表の貴重な音源が収録されています。アルバム『LET IT BE』は未発表アルバム『GET BACK』からフィル・スペクターの手によってオーケストラのオーバーダブはじめ編集が施され選曲も変更して最終的に1970年にリリース、その後2003年には『LET IT BE…NAKED』としてより原音に近づけた形で再編集されたリリースもありました。今回の『リハーサルズ』ではまさに”ゲット・バック・セッション”からのリアルな原音に忠実な編集をコンセプトに曲によってライブ披露のルーフトップ音源だったものもすべてスタジオ・リハーサル音源に差し替えた内容となっています。これまで”ゲット・バック・セッション”は様々な形態で多数出回っていますが元々のナグラ・リール音源はモノラルで随所にBEEP音が邪魔したりカメラ・ロール切り替えで録音が途切れたりと素の状態では多くの欠点がありましたが今回最新デジタル・リマスター作業によってステレオ化され演奏の途切れやBEEP音の除去まで修復されたオリジナル編集で収録。『NAKED』以上にまさに原音そのままでオーバーダブのないリアルなセッション音源を完全再現しています。アルバム全曲に加え”オルタネイト・リハーサル”の方にはよりラフな演奏や異なるアレンジのバージョンを厳選。曲の制作過程も垣間見れる貴重なセッションは注目です。さらに未発表アルバム『GET BACK』の原型となるファースト・アセテート原盤”KUMBACK”はアメリカのラジオ局WBCNが放送したことでも知られる前段階のものでグリン・ジョンズの最終形とは選曲も編集も異なる音源でリハーサルとの違いも比較出来る収録となっています。これまでの数多くの”ゲット・バック・セッション”をそのまま収録したものとは次元の異なる入念な編集で仕上げられた注目の最新コレクターズ・アイテムです。
