The Beatles’ historic masterpiece “Abbey Road”, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2019, also released the 50th anniversary edition and attracted the attention of Beatles fans all over the world. Producer Giles Martin and mixing engineer Sam Okel have remixed the original session tape to include stereo, high resolution stereo, 5.1 surround and Dolby Atmos. However, the multi-channel by Dolby Atmos, which is a hot topic as the next-generation stereophonic sound, has a high hurdle to reproduce the sound source and cannot be reproduced as it is with ordinary stereo audio, so the sound is wonderful among many general fans. I couldn’t enjoy it. This time, the Dolby Atmos sound source is reproduced in stereo with a new remix, and vocals, chorus, and each instrument are recorded in virtual surround stereo by the latest technology sound source analysis audio profiling. 2019年に50周年を迎えたビートルズの歴史的名盤『アビイ・ロード』は50周年記念エディションもリリースされ世界中のビートルズ・ファンの注目を集めました。プロデューサーのジャイルズ・マーティンとミキシング・エンジニアのサム・オケルによってオリジナルのセッション・テープから新たなにミキシングし直されステレオ、ハイレゾ・ステレオ、5.1サラウンドそしてドルビー・アトモスとバリエーションに富んだ音源が収録されましたが特に次世代の立体音響として話題のドルビー・アトモスによるマルチ・チャンネルはその音源再生のハードルが高く通常のステレオ・オーディオではそのまま再生出来ないため一般的な多くのファンの間ではそのサウンドの素晴らしさを享受出来ませんでした。今回収録されているのはそのドルビー・アトモス音源を新たなリミックスでステレオ再現したものでボーカルやコーラス、各楽器を最新技術の音源解析オーディオ・プロファイリングによるバーチャル・サラウンド・ステレオで収録。オリジナルのセッション・テープからのマルチトラックだけあってその音源からは通常のステレオ音源では聴こえてこないパートまでが浮き彫りになり複雑に重なり合ったコーラスや各楽器の細やかな音がよりリアルに再現され音源解析研究のリファレンスとしても興味深い音源となっています。またアルバム全曲以外のセッション・レコーディングの音源も新たなリミックスで収録。ギターやピアノ等それぞれの楽器をフィーチャーした独自のチャンネル・セパレーションで再現。歴史的名盤『アビイ・ロード』をこれまでとは違う聴覚体験によって新たな感動と興奮を呼び覚ます注目の最新コレクターズ・アイテムです。
