It is not an exaggeration to say that BB King’s rock-oriented heyday is a live video of 1974. I dared to say “rock-oriented” because as a blues man, he has left a lot of wonderful performances and his career is sufficient. From the latter half of the 1960s, blues became influenced by rock and funk as the times went by, and the band style became established in electric guitars, and more and more people played on big stages. In 1974, there was “The Rumble in the Jungle”, which is historically important as a black event, and BB is also playing at the eve of that event. Five months back from the “Kinshasa Miracle”, a live performance in Sweden is recorded here. In my later years, I used to play choking and vibrato as the main guitar, but the video contained here is surprisingly sharp. In the instrumental, the volume and tone are adjusted frequently, and in the dynamics, it is a masterpiece that folds up with fine phrasing. You can fully enjoy the squeeze guitar. With the new professional shot video as the master, even beginners can enjoy both image quality and sound quality with confidence. By the way, “Lucille” mentioned in the member credit BB is the name of the BB guitar that BB himself gave.
