しかも、超ズーム＆安定。わずか５年前だけあってデジタル機材の性能は凄まじく、２階席からであろうとズームするとレスリーの顔面ドアップで画面が埋まる。もちろん、果敢なズームは手ブレやカメラワークの荒れにも繋がりかねないわけですが、本作にその心配は一切不要。手ブレ防止機能だけでなく、手練れのカメラワークは見どころを逐一押さえながらビシッとした安定感がまったく揺るがないのです。それもそのはず、本作を手掛けたのは客席撮影の達人。東電ではリンゴ・スターの『TOKYO DOME CITY HALL 2019 FINAL NIGHT: THE VIDEO』やALCATRAZZの『DEFINITIVE TOKYO 2019 FINAL NIGHT: THE VIDEO』等で知られ、新作が出る旅の「今年のNo.1映像!!」と話題を呼んでいる。本作は、そんな人物のオリジナル・コレクションでして、レスリーの訃報を受けて特別に公開してくださった秘宝なのです。

……と、このようになっています。『エジンバラの騎士』『青春に捧げるメロディー』の２枚を軸に美味しい70年代のヒット曲をズラリと並べ、そこにTHE HONEYCOMBSの「Have I The Right?」やバリー・マンの「You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’」といったカバー曲が散りばめられている。「Rock & Roll Honeymoon」を歌うのはアランです。
そして、そのセットを紡ぐパフォーマンスが胸に迫る。この時レスリーは61歳で、アランは67歳。その歌声には年輪が刻まれつつも、紛れもない本人だけのトーン。普通の外タレは聴き取れないとも言われる「れすりぃー！」「あらーん!!」のようなかなコールにも即応し、手を振りながらはにかむ笑顔にもかつての面影が浮かぶ。ショウの後半、座って休んでいるアランの姿も微笑ましいですし、マイクなしのレスリーが長々と質疑応答するアットホームなムードもたまらない。その一挙手一投足に長年支えてくれた日本への想いが滲み、そんな彼らを旧友のように迎える観客たち。本作は、そんな幸福な空間に特等席で同席できるのです。
