更に絆を深めた彼等はダン・トーラー(Gtr)ら新メンバーを加えてライヴ活動とアルバム制作を展開。
そんな彼等の、ライヴ映画『ブラザーズ・オブ・ザ・ロード』も制作された充実の1981年の秘蔵ライヴ映像を収録したDVDの登場です。

1981年12月16日、ニュージャージー・キャピトル・シアターでのライヴは、ライヴ映画『ブラザーズ・オブザ・ロード』の後半部分に約60分程収録されましたが、こちらはその元となったラフMIXの高画質プロショット映像です。
曲間にはカット編集がありますが演奏曲は全て完全収録で、映画に収録された7曲もカット割りなど全くの別編集となっていてマニアには非常に興味深い内容ではないでしょうか。

第二期を代表する名曲”Jessica”から幕を明けるステージ。
この時期ならではの大衆受けを狙った？シングル曲”Straight From The Heart”も、当時はデュアン時代のファンから「何を血迷ったか？！｝と悪評でしたが、今聴くとグレッグの声ともマッチするなかなかサザンソウル風味のメロで実は良い曲なんです。
そして”ランブリン・マン”に続くヒットとなった”Crazy Love”など、とにかくディッキー・ベッツが元気で、ダン・トーラーとのツイン・ギターも好調です。
もちろん終盤には入魂のスライドで”ステイツボロ・ブルース”も！

意外に知られていないオールマンズの第三期と言えるこの時期。
