This work was filmed at “February 12, 1988 in Toronto”. That audience shot. This is the whole picture of the MCA era. I ran through three years at a unique pace of touring the United States until spring after the end of the year. The official video “THE NIGHTMARE RETURNS” was in its very early stages, but this work was the 25th performance of “North America # 3b” in the final stage.
This work taken at such a show is a truly spectacular audience shot. It’s a diagonal shot from the left side of the stage, but thanks to the steep upstairs stand, you can monopolize the stage without being bothered by the shadows of the front row. Moreover, it is stable as if it were used on a tripod. And the zoom that approaches from the superb view is wonderful. The opening “Teenage Frankenstein” is captured in a distant view where you can enjoy a sense of scale and a horror set, but from the second song “No More Mr. Nice Guy” where you can grasp the state of the show, you will get closer to the action. .. As expected, there is only analog shooting where video has just become popular, so the facial expressions and wrinkles are not clear … You can also enjoy Alice who hits the doll, Kane who sweeps with a machine gun type guitar, and a super high leg SM dancer (the whip battle with Alice is really thrilling. Dangerous!).
It is a full show full of precious numbers that is drawn with such quality. Speaking of the Kane era, the official video “THE NIGHTMARE RETURNS” is the standard, so let’s organize the set while comparing here.

The revival drama of the MCA era is highly evaluated in the history of Alice, but the numbers at that time are rarely played. In particular, the second “RAISE YOUR FIST AND YELL” is an endangered species, and four of the five songs shown in this work are played only on this tour, with the only exception “Roses On White Lace”. Even so, it is an extremely rare song that was sealed for 31 years until 2019.
It is also good that the previous work “Teenage Frankenstein”, which survived only one song, is the opening. After all, “THE NIGHTMARE RETURNS” continued to be classics from the top for a while, and it was hard to get a metallic number. On the other hand, this work is metallic from the moment it starts. If you compare this to Ozzy, is it the difference between “BARK AT THE MOON TOUR” and “THE ULTIMATE SIN TOUR”? Both are sharply transformed by Jake’s guitar, while the latter, which started at “Bark at the Moon”, is more metallic. Moreover, in the case of Alice, a monster in iron armor also appeared from the opening and battled with Alice. It’s a sudden highlight.
Also, classics are also a point. All five songs that are not in “THE NIGHTMARE RETURNS TOUR” seem to be big classics, but if it is Kane Roberts to play it, the story is different. Not only is it re-dyed with that technical and splendid guitar, but you can also see plenty of it being knocked down with that mukimuki’s body.
