2007 AEROSMITH embarked on a full-scale world tour after a long absence with Tom Hamilton, who has recovered from laryngeal cancer. Introducing a new recording that allows you to experience the scene in the best possible way.
It was “September 16, 2007 Bristow performance” that was imbued with such a work. It is the superb audience recording. AEROSMITH, who returned to Tom at the end of 2006, conducted a solo world tour in 2007 and a joint tour with ZZ TOP in 2009. In the latter, Tom leaves for surgery again, but in 2007 it was completed by the original five. And that 2007 was also the world tour since the “NINE LIVES Tour”. Live activities were active during that time, but only in North America and Japan. It was the first time in eight years that a global tour to Europe and South America. First, let’s review the whole picture of such a tour.

This is 2007 AEROSMITH. In the years before and after, there were solo performances by Steven and Joe, but in 2007, he pitched only to AEROSMITH. The Bristow performance of this work is the final edition. It was the 4th performance of “North America # 3”.
This work recorded at such a show is a superb item with “super” that makes you doubt your ears as “really Odins !?”. It was announced very recently by the prestigious excavation “Krw_co”, and is one of the inscriptions digitized directly from the original DAT master. What is surprising is the sound, and anyway, it is very thick and close. “Krw_co” has announced it as an audience recording, and if you listen to it with headphones, the snare will sound like a guest recording. However, the audience-likeness is that much, and the powerful and on core, the direct feeling that the sense of distance is not completely, and the delicate details are suitable to be called “sound board”.
Moreover, it is neat and fresh. Because it is Omoto DAT Direct, there is no deterioration in the ultimate freshness, and the stereo feeling is outstanding. There are soundboards / pro shots such as “Quilmes Rock” and “Robin Hood Foundation” in 2007, but to be clear, this work is of much higher quality.
The quality that exceeds the sound board is a full show that is different from “Quilmes Rock” and “Robin Hood Foundation”. Let’s organize them while comparing them here.

It seems that the performance started in “Love in an Elevator” in 2007, but after that, there are many numbers different from “Quilmes Rock” etc. at the beginning of the tour. Especially, “S.O.S. (Too Bad)”, “Pink”, “Hangman Jury” and “Walkin’The Dog” are delicious repertoires that I couldn’t even hear in “ROCKIN’THE JOINT” and “YOU GOTTA MOVE”.
AEROSMITH in 2007 was unfamiliar because it was in the middle of a 7-year visit to Japan. It is a new excavation live album that lets you experience such a missing link. DAT master sound that far exceeds the standard sound board. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content.

Superb audience recording of “September 16, 2007 Bristow performance”. It is a brand that was directly digitized from the Omoto DAT master who discovered the prestigious “Krw_co”. While the snare tone has a guest-recording feel, the powerful on-core, the direct feeling that the sense of distance is not perfect, and the delicate details are suitable for calling it a “sound board”. 咽頭癌から復帰したトム・ハミルトンを迎え、久々の本格的なワールド・ツアーに乗り出した2007年のAEROSMITH。その現場を極上体験できる新録音が登場です。
そんな本作に吹き込まれているのは「2007年９月16日ブリストウ公演」。その超極上オーディエンス録音です。2006年末にトムが復帰したAEROSMITHは2007年に単独のワールドツアー、2009年にZZ TOPとのジョイントツアーを実施。後者ではトムが再び手術のために離脱しますが、2007年は本来の５人で完遂されました。そして、その2007年は“NINE LIVES Tour”以来となるワールド・ツアーでもありました。その間もライヴ活動は活発だったのですが、行われたのは北米と日本のみ。欧州や南米まで巡る地球規模のツアーは８年ぶりだったのです。まずは、そんなツアーの全体像からおさらいしてみましょう。

これが2007年のAEROSMITH。前後の年にはスティーヴンやジョーのソロ公演もありましたが、2007年はAEROSMITHだけに全力投球でした。本作のブリストウ公演は、その最終盤。「北米#3」の４公演目にあたるコンサートでした。
そんなショウで記録された本作は「本当にオーディンス!?」と耳を疑ってしまう「超」付きの極上品。発掘の名門「Krw_co」がごく最近発表したもので、大元のDATマスターからダイレクトにデジタル化された銘品中の銘品。驚きなのはそのサウンドでして、とにかく極太・ド密着。「Krw_co」がオーディエンス録音として発表しているわけですし、確かにヘッドフォンで聴けばスネアの鳴りに客録っぽさは刻まれている。しかし、オーディエンスらしさはその程度でして、力強くオンな芯も、距離感がまるでないダイレクト感も、細やかなディテールも「まるでサウンドボード」と呼ぶに相応しい。
しかも端正で瑞々しい。大元DATダイレクトだからこその究極鮮度に劣化など微塵もなく、ステレオ感もバツグン。2007年には”Quilmes Rock”や“Robin Hood Foundation”等のサウンドボード／プロショットも存在するわけですが、ハッキリ言って本作の方がよほどハイクオリティなのです。
そんなサウンドボード超えクオリティで描かれるのは、”Quilmes Rock”や“Robin Hood Foundation”等とは異なるフルショウ。ここで比較しながら整理してみましょう。

……と、このようになっています。「Love in an Elevator」で開演というのがいかにも2007年らしいのですが、その後はツアー序盤の”Quilmes Rock”等とは異なるナンバーが盛りだくさん。特に「S.O.S. (Too Bad)」や「Pink」「Hangman Jury」「Walkin’ The Dog」辺りは『ROCKIN’ THE JOINT』『YOU GOTTA MOVE』でも聴けなかった美味しいレパートリーです。
７年に及ぶ来日ブランクの真っ直中だった事もあり、今ひとつ馴染みの薄かった2007年のAEROSMITH。そんなミッシング・リンクを極上体験させてくれる新発掘ライヴアルバムです。定番サウンドボードも遙かに超えるDATマスター・サウンド。どうぞ、存分にお楽しみください。
