このように、日本公演の前には「北米ツアー#2」が行われていたわけですが、本作が撮影されたのはその最終日「1998年８月８日ウェスト・パルム・ビーチ公演」。つまり、“日本公演の１コ前”のショウなのです。
そんな北米最終日を収めた本作は、素晴らしく生々しい映像。通常「マルチカメラ・プロショット」と言うと、オフィシャル作品やテレビ放送などの磨き込まれた映像美を思い起こしますが、本作はちょっと違う。もちろん、無数のカメラを駆使してはいるのですが、その肌触りは非常に裏方風。一見、ステージスクリーン用にも思えるのですが、現場にスクリーンが見当たらないので、会場の記録用にでも撮影されたのかも知れません。サウンドも同じでして、猛烈にダイレクトでビビッドながら放送音源や公式音源とは違う荒っぽいミックス。ヴォーカルがややオーバーピークになるシーンもあるなど、言わばIEMsのようなニュアンスなのです。
なんだかお薦めしてるのか貶しているのか分からなくなってきましたが、こうした荒削りな生々しさがまたアンダーグラウンドならではの魅力。放送映像のように精緻に計算、演出されたカット割りではないものの、だからこそ意外なシーンもたっぷりとあり、スタッフ視点の裏側感覚が溢れている。特に面白いのは、スティーヴ・ハウ寄りのカメラ。手元もバッチリなドアップが結構フィーチュアされており、普段のマルチカメラでは拝めない楽器を持ち帰るシーンまで見られる。さらにソロタイムでは「The Little Galliard/Mood For A Day」や「Clap」のほか、本編プレス２CDでは聴けない「Second Initial」も披露。アコースティックギターの妙技がこれでもか！と間近に目撃できます。さらにさらにイゴールのソロに導かれて始まる「Long Distance Runaround」ではメキシカン・ハットを被って登場！　一体なぜ……。もちろん、ハウだけではなく、各人の見どころ／聴きどころもばっちり。特にクリス・スクワイアのゴリッゴリなベース・サウンドは脳内で再生されるような生々しさですし、ソロタイムでは手元も鮮やかに激近視点でたっぷりと堪能できます。

本編プレス２CDは、美麗オーディエンス録音の整ったトータル・サウンドでしたが、本作は日本公演ながらまったく違う激近・直結の世界。本編プレス２CDのイマジネーションを“光景”で広げてくれるだけでなく、90年代でも特出していたバンド・ポテンシャルを異なる２つの世界で味わい尽くせる豪華セット。どうぞ、併せてたっぷりとお楽しみください。
