イエスの『リレイヤー』ツアーから、1975年7月21日のフィラデルフィア、スペクトラム公演を完全収録した2枚組。この時期のツアーは、あの有名な「クイーンズ・パーク・レンジャーズ」公演があり、そちらの演奏で大満足しているファンも多いことだろう。だが、本作で聴けるイエスの怒濤のパフォーマンスは、もしそこに自分がいたら卒倒しているのではないかと思うほど、プログレを超越した強烈でアグレッシヴな演奏で迫って来る。リック・ウェイクマンが抜け、パトリック・モラーツを迎えての唯一の作品である『リレイヤー』は、イエスの全カタログの中にあって、未だに特異な色彩を放っているアルバムだが、その要因といえるモラーツのジャジーでスピーディーなキーボード・プレイが光っている。鬼のような「危機」、鬼気迫る「錯乱の扉」、そして失禁ものの「儀式」など、20分以上の大作を3曲も披露するこのセット・リストに大満足だ。特に本作では、後に『究極』に収録される「悟りの境地」のワンフレーズが披露されるなど、イエスとパトリック・モラーツの結びつきを如実にあらわれているのも興味ふかいところ。本作はオーディエンス録音でモノラルだが、異様なほど音圧があり、大変聴きやすい。低域が多少もたつくものの、うるさいほどではなく、高域もちゃんと収録されているので、演奏のディテイルが良く聴ける。演奏のパッションは「クイーンズ・パーク・レンジャーズ」より上かもしれない。
