　1974年のマイケル・シェンカー加入後、UFOは「PHENOMENAN」そして「FORCE IT」と優れた作品を立て続けに発表し、イギリス・ヨーロッパだけでなくアメリカでもその人気を高めていました。常に変化を求めていた当時のUFO（すなわちフィル・モグ）は、’74年にはポール・チャップマンをセカンド・ギタリストに迎えたり（マイケルの反対で間もなく脱退）、「FORCE IT」の製作ではキーボードにチック・チャーチルをゲスト参加させるなどしていました。その「FORCE IT」ツアーでは正式なキーボード奏者として、元HEAVY METAL KIDSのダニー・ペイロネルが参加。9月から11月まで2ヶ月間行われた’75年アメリカツアーは大盛況で、アメリカにおけるUFO人気を決定付ける事に成功します。
　ダニーは続く「NO HEAVY PETTING」の製作でも大きく貢献し、アメリカのファンに親しまれるロックン・ロールの要素を注入。バンドはアルバムのリリースに先立って’76年4月からツアーを開始し、5月には再びアメリカに上陸しました。本作ではその’76年アメリカツアーから、3公演目の5月3日に行われたハリウッド公演を、音質最高のステレオ・サウンドボード音源で収録しています。

　この’76年5月のハリウッド公演は、同じ”スターウッド・クラブ”で3連続公演が行われており、初日の模様は一部のマニアを中心にサウンドボード音源の存在が知られていました（”3月3日”とミスクレジットで伝わっている音源もあるようです）。今回登場する本音源はそのライン・ソースでも、間違いなく最上級と断言できる絶品のクオリティ。素晴らしい明度と見通しの良さに加えて、メンバーそれぞれのプレイをダイナミックな音色でミックスした演奏の聴き応え、場内の盛り上がりを程よく捉えた臨場感は、聴き手に最高のエンターテイメントを味わわせてくれるでしょう。
　ディスクを再生していきなり飛び出す観客の「UFO！」コールでも判るとおり、会場は最初から熱い盛り上がり。オープニングの新曲「Can You Roll Her」では、ダニーが持ち込んだロックン・ロール・フレーバーが、フィルのブルージーな歌声やマイケルの扇情的なギターと絡み合い、ライヴの幕開けからスリリングな演奏を楽しませます。さらに2曲目では早くも「Doctor Doctor」が取り上げられ、聴き手をがっちりとライヴに引き込んでしまいます！　続けて取り上げられる初期の名曲「Oh My」・「Out In The Street」もUFOらしい情熱的な演奏。厚みのあるサウンドで再現されるピート・ウェイのベースとアンディ・パーカーのドラムも、楽曲のダイナミズムをワンランク上へと押し上げているようです。
　ライヴ中盤の聴き所は「NO HEAVY PETTING」からチョイスされた「Highway Lady」と「I’m A Loser」。特にダニーが作詞作曲した前者は’70年代UFOの中でも印象的な楽曲で、これを迫力あるサウンドで聴けるのは嬉しいの一言！　「Let It Roll」からはライヴもいよいよクライマックス。中盤でのステレオ感が凄まじい「This Kids」に、叩きつけるような「Shoot Shoot」の熱演、そして問答無用の「Rock Bottom」（もちろんマイケルのロングソロは悶絶レベル！）と、演奏はいずれも圧倒的。聴き手はバンドのプレイと優れたサウンドにノックアウトされてしまうでしょう！　ラストの「C’mon Everybody」と「Boogie For George」もそれぞれ8分を越えるロング・バージョン。合計で約75分のライヴも、満点の熱気で一気に聴かせてしまいます。

　’70年代におけるUFOライヴは、ハーフ・オフィシャルのライヴ音源でも多く知られていますが、本作はそれらに負けず、当時のUFOライヴを素晴らしい迫力と生々しさで楽しませてくれます。’75年の「LIVE FORCE」と並び、若き日のエネルギッシュなUFOサウンドを最高のエンターテイメントで満喫させる珠玉の一本。UFOやマイケル・シェンカーのファンに留まらず、全てのハードロック・ファンを魅了するであろう決定的アイテムが、完全限定プレスCDでここにリリースです！
