「FALLING IN BETWEEN」リリース時の2006年ヨーロッパ・ツアーから3月1日のフィンランドはヘルシンキ、アイス・アリーナ公演を、録音者提供のオリジナルDATマスターより、怒涛の超高音質オーディエンス録音で完全収録。この「KING OF THE WORLD」は、2006年3月末にTRIALレーベルからリリースされていたもので、まさに「忘れ去られていた名盤・名音源」と言えます。当時の解説にも「これ以上はありえない、まさにサウンドボード級の超高音質・完全収録盤」とありましたが、今、聴き直しても、それが大袈裟とは思えない、本来ならプレスCDでのリリースが相応しいと思える圧巻の超高音質で収録されています。ちょうど、2006年4月～5月に行われた日本ツアーのほぼ2か月前のステージで、「FALLING IN BETWEEN」ツアー2夜目の初期ライヴを楽しむことが出来ます。。新作「Falling In Between」ナンバーを中心に、TOTOの歴史を遡るヴァラエティに富んだ選曲がなされていますが、この当時は、いきなり7曲目の前半でHold The Lineが、そしてコンサートエンド付近の定番だったRosannaが中盤に演奏されたことが、新鮮に感じたものです。ボーカルはボビー・キンボールが務めていますが、この段階ではデヴィッド・ぺイチが復帰しておらず、キーボードはグレッグ・フィリンゲインズのみ。比較的、ソリッドなバンド体制より繰り出される鉄壁の演奏は最高。たまに、良い意味でのツアー初頭らしい固さも感じられますが、それも本ライヴ盤の魅力の一つ。2014年の今、聴き直すには最強・最高の、2006年ツアー2日目の圧巻の音記録。これはお薦めです。
