1982年「聖なる剣」に伴う日本ツアーの最終日、5月21日武道館ライヴを約2時間に渡って全曲収録。録音者から譲り受けたオリジナル・マスターを使用した1982年東京公演を代表する傑作ライヴ盤。2001年に旧Masterportよりリリースされ、長き渡って廃盤だったタイトル「HOLY SWORD」を、現行の技術でリマスター収録。当時の流行りだった派手目のイコライズを抑え、マスター本来の正しい音色で、貴重な東京公演最終日の全貌を楽しむことができます。オープニング・ナンバー Girl Goodbyeの冒頭からマスターより欠落しており、カットイン収録となっているところが残念ですが、それ以外はショウの全てを完全収録。今、聴き直しても、じゅうぶん過ぎるほどに良質なサウンドで収録されており、全体の聴きごたえも素晴らしいものがあります。高画質で楽しめる18日のショウのプレスDVDも最高ですが、エディットされていない、本来のショウの流れで当時の名曲・名演を楽しめるのは言うことなし。17日・18日東京、19日新潟、21日東京というなかなか大変なスケジュールでのツアーですが、それもまた当時の勢いを感じさせてくれますメンバーも若く、疲れをモノとしない、パワフルなショウを展開しています。1982年東京公演3デイズに関しては、初日17日と2日目の18日は「Master Sword」で聴けますが、最終日の21日はこのテイクでなくては聴けないので、ファンはコレクションに加える価値は十分にあります。音も近く、安定したサウンドで録れているので、どのレベルのファンにも安心してお薦めできます。
