「危機」に伴う1972年秋のＵＳツアーより11月11日ダーハムはデューク大学公演を、サウンドボードレベルの極上音質で1時間37分に渡って収録。この公演には既発がありますが、収録時間が長いだけでなく、音質に関しては、今回のヴァージョンは比較にならないほど優れており、同公演の決定版であることは勿論、1972年ツアー音源の中でも最も優秀な音源と言えるでしょう。サウンドのバランスも申し分なく、5人の奏でる全ての音をはっきりと聴くことができます。スティーブのソロはClap/Mood For A Day/Clapとメドレーで演奏するこの時期ならではのアレンジです。凄いのは「危機」で中間のオルガンテープのところは例によってテンポが危なくなるところがあるものの、後半のバンドが一丸となったエネルギッシュな盛り上がりはあまりに凄まじく、イエス･ファンでこれを聴いて感動しない人はいないでしょう。「危機」ラストでのタタットトというアラン･ホワイトのドラムに合わせてのエンディングもこの時期ならではで、新鮮です。リックのキーボードソロでは、ハレルヤのところでアランとのキメが合わなかったりするところもありますが、全体の聴き応えは十分です。リックのソロとRoundaboutの繋ぎは「Yessongs」のようにサイレンの効果音ではなく、鐘の音が使用されています。ラストのYours Is No Disgraceは、既発では4分半の収録でしたが、今回、途中の欠損部分を別音源で補填しているものの(7:58-11:42)、14分に及ぶ本ヴァージョンは、その音質の素晴らしさもあり必聴のヴァージョンになっています。1973年ツアーのベストが「Heart of the Sunrise」(Sirene, 3月8日東京）なら1972年のベスト･タイトルは本作と言えるでしょう。「こわれもの」「危機」と空前の大傑作を創り上げた時期のステージの最良のサンプル。奇跡のサウンドワールドをたっぷりとお楽しみ下さい。プレスCDにてリリースです！
