本作品はリッチー側のステージ袖から関係者により撮影された映像で、過去にギフト・タイトルとしてリリースされた際にも全てのRAINBOW・リッチーファンを驚愕させた伝説的なタイトルです。「STRANGER IN US ALL」リリースに伴う’95年ツアーは、リッチーがRAINBOWを率いて再スタートを切ったとあって大きな注目を浴び、音源や映像についても素晴らしいタイトルが多く残されています。しかしどんなに優れた映像や音源でも、客席側から捉えられた素材と、本作のようにステージ側から関係者によって記録されたマテリアルとでは、その「価値」は決定的に異なっています。今回はこの貴重な映像が、嬉しいオリジナル・メニュー付きで復活します。
このフランスにおけるショウは、ドイツ・ツアー終了後の10月30日と31日に行われたものです。リッチー自身のモチベーションが高く、先頭に立ってバンドを引っ張っていた’95年ヨーロッパツアーでも、このドイツ～フランスツアーはピークと言える状態で、ほとんどのショウがファンに「当たり」と感じさせる充実した演奏を聴かせました。本映像ではその素晴らしいライヴを、ステージの真横からリッチー中心に捉えています。一昔前のアナログ撮影のため全体的にやや暗めで、場面によっては手ブレも見られます。最近のデジタル映像のようなクリアさではありませんが、逆にその独特なフィルム的質感は、他で観られない特異な撮影ポジションも相まって、ヒストリー・ビデオに出てきそうな記録映像風の味わいを醸しています。
