以上がBBMの解散から『DARK DAYS IN PARADISE』までの歩み。1994年のBBM解散から『BLUES FOR GREENY』までは通常通りとも言えますが、リリース後のライヴはわずか３回だけ。その後の1996年には他人のアルバムへゲスト参加するくらいしか残されておらず、ライヴはナシ。1997年の『DARK DAYS IN PARADISE』までの沈黙期に突入してしまったのです。
このように、たった３公演だけだった“ゲイリー・ブルースの極み”。しかし、これが幸運なことに総て超極上クオリティで残されました。１公演目は本編プレスDVDの『BLUES FOR GREENY LIVE』、２公演目はオフィシャルDVD『ESSENTIAL MONTREUX』、そして最後の３公演目が本作「1995年７月23日バーリンゲン公演」の極上ステレオ・サウンドボード・アルバムなのです。
このショウは放送され、かつては既発『LAST BLUES FOR GREENY』という既発盤もありました。しかし、本作はその後に発見されたマスターを使用しており、生々しい鮮度もダイレクト感も最高。低音はファットで豊かですし、クリアな抜けはまさにオフィシャル級。ハーモニカやホーン・セクションまでフィーチャーしたTHE MIDNIGHT BLUES BAND最後期のアンサンブルが彫刻名に楽しめるのです。
また、セットリストもポイント。本編プレスDVDはアルバム『BLUES FOR GREENY』を大きくフィーチュアしていましたが、本作ではいつものレパートリーも大量に導入ている。本編プレスDVDにはない「Oh Pretty Woman」「The Stumble」「Key To Love」「All Your Love」「The Blues Is Alright」をはじめ、オフィシャルDVD『ESSENTIAL MONTREUX』でも聴けない「Walking By Myself」「Still Got The Blues」「The Sky Is Crying」「Too Tired」もたっぷり。その分、激レア・ナンバーは少なくなってしまいますが、特濃な「ブルース道の総括」感でむせ返るライヴアルバムなのです。「All Your Love」後半部や「Still Got The Blues」オープニングで（放送に起因する）わずかな欠落があるためにプレスCD化は見逃されてきましたが、しかしそれ以外に欠点らしい欠点もない名サウンドボード・アルバムなのです。

本編プレスDVD『BLUES FOR GREENY LIVE』、オフィシャルDVD『ESSENTIAL MONTREUX』、そして本作。ゲイリーの求道心がたどり着いたブルース３公演。その最後の１ピースとなるステレオ・サウンドボードです。本作のラスト、約100分間のライヴが「Jumpin’ At Shadows」で締めくくられた場面こそ、ゲイリーのブルース道が総決算を迎えたハイライト。ゲイリーのキャリア中でも屈指の入魂ライヴを、脳内再生するようなド直球サウンドボードで体験する大傑作。無上無類の本編プレスDVDと共に、思う存分お楽しみください！
