1979年9月に「The Long Run」をリリースしたイーグルスの1980年USツアーより、ラストコンサートほぼ一か月前の6月28日、イーストトロイはアルピン・バレー公演をマスタークオリティの高音質オーディエンス録音で約2時間に渡って完全収録。当時の観客席録音としては音質は上々で、クリアーでバランスの良い、音の篭りを感じさせない大変良質なサウンドでショウの全貌を堪能することができます。ツアー終了後にリリースされた公式ライブ盤「Eagles Live」は80年のサンタモニカと76年のLAフォーラム公演の編集版でしたので、1980年「The Long Run」ツアー後半のセットを実際の曲順どおりに楽しめる本盤は、オフィシャル盤以上のリアルさを持って当時のイーグルスのライブの素晴らしさを伝えてくれます。3曲目から3曲連続で演奏される新曲In The City、King Of Hollywood、The Sad Cafeは80年ツアーの興味深い聴き所になっています。Wasted Time～Desperado等も実に感動的で、それに続くThose Shoesも聴き応え抜群。アンコールで演奏されるカバーSea Cruiseも必聴。元のテープには突然のカットアウト等、編集に荒い部分もありましたが、本盤はそれらも含め出来るだけ聴きやすく全体をリマスターしています。本ツアーからは過去に3月4日のLAフォーラム公演がライン録音でリリースされましたが、本盤はオーディエンス録音ながら、それに勝るとも劣らない魅力とクオリティをもった素晴らしい録音です。曲間では熱狂する観客の声もラウドに録られていますが、楽曲がそれに負けない位、ワイドにクリアーにしっかりと録音されているので、ストレス無く聴き入ることができます。音質・内容、極上の一枚。

イーグルスの1980年6月28日にウィンスコンシン州イースト・トロイで行われたコンサートを収録した2枚組。1979年9月には二度目の来日公演も実現しており、来日直後にアルバム『ロング・ラン』がリリースされた。本作には最盛期最後のロング・ラン・ツアーでのパフォーマンスを収録しており、現在のように全曲代表曲ばかりで構成されたセット・リストと比べると、遙かに魅力的な曲がひしめいている。当時の最新作である『ロング・ラン』からは「King Of Hollywood」や「Sad Cafe」、「Those Shoes」といった曲の今では貴重なライヴ演奏が聴けるだけでなく、アンコールには滅多に披露しないジョン・フォガティのカヴァー曲「Sea Cruise」(オリジナル・ヒットはフランキー・フォード)を演奏するなど、魅力的な内容が充満している。もちろんジョー・ウォルシュの持ち曲もイーグルスのレパートリーとして根付いているが、この頃はまだ他のメンバーはソロ・アルバムを出していなかったので、よりイーグルスの曲が多く演奏されているのが嬉しい。気になるのは「呪われた夜」とか「ニュー・キッド・イン・タウン」などの全米No.1ヒット曲が収録されていないことで、本作がコンサートの全容を収録したものなのかやや疑問が残る。音質は素晴らしく、オーディエンス録音ながら、透明感にあふれているため、とても1980年に録音されたものとは思えない空間が広がっている。若干周りの観客が騒がしい場面もあるが、これがアメリカだから仕方がないだろう。なお、本作にはボーナスDVDとして『DON KIRSHNER’S ROCK CONCERT』が付いている。サード『オン・ザ・ボーダー』発表後の1974年のライヴが高画質で1時間以上収録されている。ゲストに若かりし頃のリンダ・ロンシュタットやジャクソン・ブラウンなどが出演しており、西海岸ロック・シーンのファンは必見の内容である。
