1975年北米ツアー2日目の4月10日のシアトル公演を過去最長の2時間30分に渡って完全収録。近年突如出現した衝撃の極上音質マスターを収録したファン必携盤。録音者は近年、次々と未発表の高音質マスターを発表し、世界中の音楽ファンを狂喜させているJEMSで、本盤は先日発表された高音質マスターを使用しています。同公演を収録した2枚組の既発盤「DARK SIDE LAST TOUR」(HL)とは完全別マスターで、音質は比較にならない程に優れています。JEMSのマスターリールに収録されたテイクをそのままデジタル化したとされる本作は、別次元のハイグレードなサウンドで収録。音が驚くほど近く、スケール感も満点、ボーカル以上に、各楽器のクリアーさは半端ない程素晴らしく、「さすがJEMS音源」と唸るしかない第1級のサウンドで、この時期のフロイドのスケールの大きなパフォーマンスを堪能することができます。本盤はJEMSマスターに適度なリマスター処理を施し、音質の更なるグレードアップを実現させています。(ピッチも正確に補正)Raving And Drooling、そしてYou Gotta Be Crazyは引きずるようなへヴィでパワフルな演奏が印象的。この第1部前半は、巨大会場の演奏のせいか、モニターが不調なのか、全体的なキメもあまく、演奏にしまりのない部分も散見されます。ニックのドラムがパワフルかつクリアーに録音されているので、この部分でも、メリハリのある音像が楽しめます。Shine On You Crazy Diamondの冒頭では観客が大騒ぎしている声が聴こえますが、録音ポジションが良いせいか、近くで煩い観客がいないので、ストレス無く楽しめます。場内がどっと沸くのはスクリーンに映像が映ったせいでしょう。1分27秒でロジャーが「シー」とマイクに向けて言って、静かに聴くように諭します。3分台のギターの4音にあまりエコーがかかっていません。前半のギターソロの組み立ては今一つ。ドラム・ベース・シンセの音が非常にクリアーで迫力は凄いモノがあります。切りこむような7分台のギターソロはなかなかの迫力で聴かせます。リズム隊の音が素晴らしく、冒頭以上にPAの音が固まってきたのが判るパートです。全体のアレンジの配分・整理が発展途上なので、盛り上がりに欠ける部分もありますが、それゆえに面白いと思わせるパートも続々と出てきます。スピードアップしたHave A Cigarはノリの良い演奏が聴けます。とにかく音が良いので凄い迫力。後半のギターのアドリブソロパートはロジャーとのベースの絡みも絶品で、あまり聞いたことない程に熱い演奏を聴くことができます。(ただし、エンディングで回数が判らなくなって演奏が混乱しています。)SOYCD Part 6-9 のベースとスネアがここまでクリアーに録音されたテイクというのもそうないのではないでしょうか。この混沌とした演奏ぶりがここまで美味しく聴けるのはやはり音質でしょう。ちょっとあり得ない程の質感をもった高音質です。4分40秒台のこの時代にしては珍しいニックのオカズも聴き所です。後半の主役はロジャーのベースであり、とにかく凄い迫力です。第二部の「狂気」のSpeak To Meは5分間も収録。騒然となる観客の声があまりの迫力にSEのようにも聴こえるのも流石の録音です。凄い臨場感ですが、ここまで劇的に聴かせるBreatheというのもそうなかったと記憶しています。On The Runも然りで、ここまで凄い音像だと次はどんなふうに聴けるのだろう、とわくわくしながら聴き進むことになります。ラストの爆発音もSEではなく実際のエクスプローシブな演出が行われたようです。Timeの冒頭のSEパートは音が拡散・移動していくエフェクトが圧巻の音像で捉えられており、必聴パートになっています。パーカッションの音も非常にクリアー。ボーカルパートでは、これだけオンに録音された楽音をかき消すほどの歓声が沸き起こります。「狂気」というアルバムがこの時代、いかにファナティックな人気を誇っていたかが判ります。3~4分台の流れるようなギターソロは、バックの強靭なベースサウンド、美しい女性コーラスと重なり、涙が出るほど感動的な瞬間が堪能できます。The Great Gig In The Skyのパワフルな女性ボーカルはまさに圧巻。4分目でのロジャーのミストーンは残念!スポンテニアスなエンディングも良い感じに演奏されます。MoneyのSEが物凄い高音質で収録されておりこの部分も驚き!!曲中のサックス&ギターソロ・パートは圧巻で、この曲を聴くだけでも本盤を入手する価値があると思えるほどの魅力的なサウンドを楽しむことができます。後半のギルモアのソロは圧巻で、ロジャーのベースは完璧なサウンド、音の良さのせいかもしれないのですが、ここまで素晴らしいMoneyのライブテイクはそうないのではないでしょうか。Us And Themはニックの硬質なスネアサウンドが最高。後半のサックスパートもとにかく音が良いので聴きごたえ満点。Any Colour You Likeの聴いたことない程に分厚いオルガン、シンセサウンドは驚き。ギターソロはまさにパーフェクトなサウンド。続くシンセとベースの絡みはあまり聞いたことないサウンドでこれまたファンは必聴。この部分は本当に凄いです!!4人が一体となった白熱した演奏が聴けますが、Brain Damageに入るところでギルモア以外の3人の演奏が怪しくなります。動揺したロジャーが歌詞をいきなり間違えますが、演奏が進むと、全く問題なくなります。Eclipseはボーカル・コーラス共に100点満点の出来で、終わりよければ全て良し、感動的なエンディングに浸ることができます。アンコールはEchoesでギルモアとリックのコーラスも見事で全体のガッチリしたややスロウなアンサンブルプレイも言うこと無し。6分台のサックスソロも理想的なサウンドで収録されており、バックの演奏も迫力満点なそれを聴かせてくれます。 9分台のスピードアップしたパートのベースプレイはあまり聞いたことないプレイで最高です!12分台のカモメのトーンでは場内から拍手喝采が巻き起こり、この日は3分近くその演奏を披露します。へヴィ極まりないラストの大団円、それに続くボーカルパートは真に感動的で、客席からも自然な拍手が沸き起こります。ダン・ランピンスキーのボストン以来の衝撃とも言える完全別格タイトルが、3枚組プレスCDで登場です。

1975年第一次北米ツアーから、2日目のSeattle公演を収録。過去にHighlandレーベルからリリースされていた『Dark Side Last Tour』と同一音源が本盤に使用されているが、今回の音源は録音者「JEMS」が所有するマスターテープから、「JEMS」自身によってダイレクトにデジタル化された音源が使用されている。そのため音質はHighland盤と比較するまでもない。なお「JEMS」は、Seattle公演を中心とする様々なアーティストの音源を録音しているが、このPink Floydの音源については、Tandberg製「Model 11」というオープンリールに、Sony製マイク「ECM-22P」を接続して録音されている。この凄まじい音圧は「モノラル録音」の醍醐味とも言えるだろう。さて内容の方だが、ツアー2日目というだけでなく、前年に行われたイギリス国内ツアーからほぼ半年振りという長期間のブランクもあり、決して万全とはいえない。散々演奏してきたはずの「Dark Side Of The Moon」においてさえ、歌詞が怪しい部分もある。1974年までの浮遊感漂う彼ら特有のサウンドにおいてなら、このような致命傷になりかねないミスは、「ハードロック」へシフトした1975年のツアーではほんの一瞬で爆音にかき消されてしまう。強靭なサウンドに変貌した1975年以降の彼らの演奏には賛否両論あると思うが、轟音で迫る「JEMS」をともかく一度体感してみてほしい。アンコールの「Echoes」は、ギターソロがサックスソロに置き換えられ、長大でハードなブルースロックにリアレンジされている。サポートメンバーは、Dick Parry (sax)、Venetta Fields (backing vocals)、Carlena Williams (backing vocals)。ファクトリープレス仕様でのリリース。
