10年ぶりのワールド・ツアー復活の契機となった記念すべきアルバム『Flowers In The Dirt』。新しいバンドを従えたこの入魂のアルバムは、ポールの復活を広く世界中にアピールしました。 Mクローデルの最新作は、その『Flowers In The Dirt』のレコーディング・セッション音源を集大成したものです。

ディスク1は1986年から87年にかけて行なわれたセッション。10年後に発表される「Beautiful Night」のオリジナル・ヴァージョン、「PS Love Me Do」セッションなど。

ディスク2は1987年エルヴィス・コステロとのセッションから。未発表曲を含む非常に興味深い内容です。VIGOTONE(旧のほう)で初登場した音源ですが、ここでは更に音質アップしています。

そしてディスク3は主に12インチ等でしか聴けないミックスを収録。「We Got Married」のプロモ・エディットなどブート初登場音源が満載。「This One」のClub Lovejoys Mix、そして「Ou Est Le Soleil」のDennis MuyetによるDisconet Editなどが貴重トラック、初めて聴くという人も多いのではないでしょうか。

この『Flowers In The Dirt』は長期に渡るレコーディング・セッション、12インチやプロモ・ヴァージョンの乱発、そして様々なブートレグに散乱したアウトテイクと、なかなかその全体を把握するのが困難なアルバムでした。 しかし本タイトルはデモ、アウトテイク、別ミックス、全てこれさえあればオッケーという全５５トラックの集大成3枚組です。『Wild Life Sessions』、『London Town Sessions』に続く、ミスター・クローデル・レーベルのセッション・シリーズ第三弾です。

A memorable album “Flowers In The Dirt” that triggered the revival of the world tour for the first time in ten years. This immortal album that followed the new band has made the revival of Paul widely appealed to all over the world. The latest work of M Claudel is a compilation of the recording session sound source of that “Flowers In The Dirt”.

Disk 1 was a session held from 1986 to 1987. Original version of “Beautiful Night” announced in ten years, “PS Love Me Do” session etc.

Disk 2 from the session with Elvis Costello in 1987. It is very interesting contents including unreleased songs. It is a sound source that first appeared in VIGOTONE (old one), but here the sound quality is up further.

And disc 3 contains mainly mixes that can not be heard only at 12 inches. It is packed with the first appearance sound source of boot such as promotion · edit of “We Got Married”. There are many people who listen to precious trucks for the first time, such as “Club One Love Joys Mix” of “This One” and Disconet Edit by Dennis Muyet of “Ou Est Le Soleil”.

This “Flowers In The Dirt” was a long-term recording session, the 12-inch and promo version rupture, the outtakes scattered in various boot legs, and the album that was difficult to grasp the entirety quite well. But this title is a culmination triplet of 55 tracks of all, demo, outtake, another mix, if all this is OK. “Wild Life Sessions”, “London Town Sessions” followed by the third series of Mr. Claudel label sessions series.
