もはやストーンズ・ファンの間で安定の極上録音との評価を揺るぎないものとしているカリスマテーパー、T&Jによる2014年来日公演三日目の録音を収録した「TOKYO DOME 2014 3RD NIGHT」は今回も数時間でSold Outとなってしまいました。そこで追加プレスを本日リリース、皆様からの再販の声にお応えします。しかし今回も音質は本当に素晴らしいですね。T&J自身も三日目の録音ということで慣れてきたのだと思いますが、この日の録音クオリティは過去二日をも凌ぐ見事なものだと言えるでしょう。T&J録音の専売特許と言えばナチュラルかつ低音を中心としたウォーミーな質感なのですが、この日の録音は趣を異にする魅力と味わいがあることが既に先行リリース時に話題となっていました。
この日に関していえば、キースのギターのエッジーなサウンドの迫力が大きな魅力ではないでしょうか。それこそローリング・ストーンズのサウンド、あるいは今回のライブ・サウンドの魅力であり、そこを余すことなく捉えてみせたのがT&J音源三日目の味わいなのです。キースの言葉を借りるまでもなく「ストーンズはギター・バンド」であることを改めて認識させてくれるサウンドそのものでしょう。
この日のT&Jバージョンが過去二日と違う点はもう一つあります。それは周囲の臨場感もかなりリアルに捉えているということ。それは裏を返せば盛り上がりが時として耳障りということになります。この点に関してはオリジナル・リリースの際にも触れましたが、可能な限り緩和させています。とはいってもこれはライブの録音、しかも当日ご覧になられた方ならば、むしろ実際の会場がこんな盛り上がりであったことを思い起こさせてくれるのではないでしょうか。それにこうした周囲の音以上にオンな演奏の音圧が圧倒しており、気が付けば演奏に集中しているはずです。
そして今となってはこの日のミックのやる気満々でしかも無邪気な振る舞いがむしろ何とも言えない気持ちにさせられます。彼が発した日本語MC「チョコがいい」という風に聞こえてしまう「超可愛い」や「センゾク」をうまく発音できずに「センズカ」と発してしまい、自分でも吹き出している様子が今となっては切なく感じられる場面ではないでしょうか。T&J録音ならではの演奏の迫力だけでなく、そんなミックの息遣いまでリアルに感じさせてくれる優良音源がリクエストにお応えして再度登場となります。どうぞ今回こそお見逃しのなく！
