8月14日の公演を録音した音源はストーンズが通常のフルライブ放送とは別の形でのリリースを前提に録音した音源をメディアに提供した模様です。その成果が例のグッズ・ビデオだったのですが、さらなる放送用音源にも使われていたことを知らない人も多いのではないのでしょうか。しかしこちらはライブを放送する番組用ですので、よりクリアーな音質と状態を誇る点が大きな魅力です。特に「NEW JERSEY～」はライブ・ビデオとしての演出上、曲間で歓声が目立つバランス（さらには歓声を付け足した可能性もあります）でまとめられていましたが、その点こちらの放送用音源はより自然なライブ・サウンドとしての仕上がり具合が好ましいものであり、ライブ演奏そのものを楽しめる状態と言えます。
しかしこの番組、何と50分足らずの超ショート・プログラム（このことからもストーンズ側の「切り売り」の意図が伺えます）であり、あまりに中途半端な内容となっています。そこで今回は当店が以前リリースした名盤「GIANTS STADIUM 1994」からライブ前半、中盤そして後半の演奏曲を付け足すことで8月14日のステレオ・サウンドボードによるダイジェスト版という趣のある一枚へとまとめています。（公式の簡易ライブ・ビデオと被らない選曲を心がけました。）
しかも今回のリリースにおいて、本放送に収録された「Brown Sugar」だけが先のタイトルと違う演奏であることから、実はツアー初日の8月1日、ワシントンJFKスタジアムのテイクであるという衝撃の真実まで判明してしまいました。なぜツアー初日のテイクを採用したのかは釈然としませんが、この日の録音もWESTWOOD ONEの「BBC CLASSIC TRACKS」というプログラムで数曲放送されており、同局が音源を所有していたことが伺えます。
このジャイアンツ・スタジアムのサウンドボード音源の目玉の一つはテンプテーションズ「Can’t Get Next To You」でしたが、それを高音質で収録した「GIANTS STADIUM 1994」は今から五年以上前のリリースということもあり、今回初めて聴かれるという方も少なくないことでしょう。そしてこの「SUPERSTARS IN CONCERT」というプログラムは間にナレーションだけでなくアーティストのインタビューが挟まれることも大きな特徴です。そこでここではキースがインタビューに応えているのですが、彼のクリアネスを欠いた（笑）独特の話し声も存分に堪能できる（まるで耳元で囁くかのよう）ユニークでレアなプログラムが限定のプレスCDにてリリース決定です、今回もお見逃しなく！
