Even though it was the latest tour of 2017, “NO FILTER” reached the present without compromising the circulation of the sound source unexpectedly. A month and a half have passed since the tour ended, but the item release of all the performances still can not be realized. On the contrary, finally, “PARIS 2017 3RD NIGHT” finally ceased to be released with the limited press release of familiar with yellow jacket. In contrast to the “ZIP CODE” tour in 2015 when the name sound source came out a lot, it became a contrasting situation. To put it most precisely, there is no quality sound source available on press CDs. Without it, some performances have been released as gift CD-R items, but I still wish to have the Stones live at the press’s board … the thought of mania is such a place.
While I got there, the interval has gone free, but this week we will have items that will fill the gaps of “NO FILTER” tour for the first time in a while. First we will introduce Copenhagen on October 3. However, although it is a sound source here, quality audience recording that could be handled as a gift CD-R if one mistake is made. そうこうするうちに間が空いてしまいましたが、今週は久々に「NO FILTER」ツアーの隙間を埋めてくれるアイテムが登場します。最初にご紹介するのは10月3日のコペンハーゲン。ただしこちらの音源ですが、一歩間違えればギフトCD-R扱いとなりかねなかったクオリティのオーディエンス録音。それは会場のスピーカーから遠めなポジションからの録音だったことが推測できる音像。このせいで低音域が強く、演奏の音像をさらに奥へと追いやってしまった感があります。いくつかの箇所ではリミッターが作動してしまい、演奏のエッジが引っ込んでしまう。とどめは2017年には珍しいモノラル音質ときた。
このように三重苦を背負ったコペンハーゲンのオーディエンス録音なのですが、それでも今回のツアーから未だにリリースが実現していない公演ということから、敢えて限定のプレスCDリリースを決断。そこでリリースに当たっては徹底的なイコライズを敢行。元の音源とは比べ物にならないほど、じっくり聞き込める状態へと生まれ変わらせてみせました。
何と言ってもこの音源でリスニングにおける最大のストレス要因と化していたのが強すぎる低域。ここをイコライズで抑えることにより、奥に追いやられ気味だった音像が前へと押し出されて存在感を取り戻しました。既にこの時点で元の音源よりも格段に聞きやすく、元の状態を聞かれたマニアであれば驚くこと間違いなしのアッパー版へと進化を遂げたのです。さらにはリミッター作動による音量の上下動も可能な限りアジャスト。元の音源にあった2017年らしかぬ録音クオリティが一気に解消されました！
もちろん、ここまで挙げてきた問題点からも解っていただけるように、間違ってもハンブルクやルッカのクオリティ・レベルではない。その点に関しては今回の「NO FILTER」中でもっともマニア向けな音源となっているのは事実でしょう。またモノラル音質ですので、ヘッドフォンよりはスピーカーから鳴らした方が圧倒的に楽しめる録音状態なのも確か。ただし今回のリリースに際して施したイコライズが絶大な効果を上げていますので、まずはスピーカーから鳴らせば臨場感と相まっていい感じで楽しめるはず。

その証拠として、この日の目玉レパートリーである「Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo」の演奏は素晴らしいの一言。近年、折に触れて演奏されてきた曲ではありますが、ここでは正に70年代を彷彿とさせるかのようなワイルドな演奏が聞かれます。それ以上に素晴らしかったのが「Midnight Rambler」。ミックがステージのセンターに向かったことに反応したチャーリーがマーチ調のドラミングへと切り替えたことで一気に演奏が白熱。このままマーチ調が続いて演奏が戻れなくなったらどうしようかと、思わず余計な心配をしたくなるほどスリリングな展開が印象的。
この音源はテーパーの周囲にいた女性ファンの盛り上がりが随所で目立つのですが、ツアー開始当初から比べるとすっかり勢いを取り戻した「Street Fighting Man」の演奏が盛り上がりをみせたところで思わず絶叫。ところが、演奏中に発した絶叫に我慢できなくなった男性に怒られてしまいます（笑）。確かに耳障りな場面なのですが、ストーンズの演奏の盛り上がりが相当なのも事実であり、彼女たちが思わず興奮してしまったのも頷けるハプニングでした。
