(この日の演奏について）

　パリから三日後に行われたウィーン公演ですが、こちらはパリほどの飛ばしまくる勢いはありません。むしろこちらの方がいい塩梅に響くのではないでしょうか。そんな安定の演奏に支えられたこの日はミックが絶好調。正に「完全復活」を印象付けるような見事な歌いっぷり。序盤の「You Got Me Rocking」をまず聞いてみてください。ミック迫真のシャウトに圧倒されるはずです。そんなエンジン全開のミックがグイグイと引っぱるステージ、それは上質のパフォーマンスが約束されたようなものですが、その割にファンからの投票曲が「Get Off Of My Cloud」だったことに肩透かしを食らったマニアが多かったのではないでしょうか。2012年以来ライブのオープニングに演奏されていた曲をその位置で演奏するとは…ところがここでのミックがまた凄まじい！60年代のやや激しめなナンバーをオープニングでなく、この位置で演奏したことが功を奏し、何と日本公演のオープニング、さらには過去のオープニング・バージョンを軽く一蹴してしまう素晴らしいバージョンとなったのです。そこでも鍵はミックのエンジン全開なシャウト。間違いなく名演と呼べるのではないでしょうか。
　しかしライブの後半では今回のツアーでは珍しいハプニングが起きています。「Sympathy For The Devil」の演奏が終盤に差し掛かったところでこの曲のリズムを支えるシーケンサーの音が止まってしまい、チャーリーもやむなくドラムを叩くのを止めてしまいます。しかし演奏が終盤に向かっていたので、この期に及んで止めるわけには行きません。そこで残されたメンバーが何とリズムなしの状態で演奏を続け、最後は（結果的に）ミックとコーラス隊のハーモニーが締めくくるという、実にレアなエンディングとなりました。これは本当に面白い！（現在YouTube上で見られる映像からはリズム類の音が消えてミックやキースが一瞬戸惑いつつも、すかさず演奏を続けようとする頼もしい姿が捉えられています。）そして「You Can’t Always Get What You Want」は東京ドーム最終日を彷彿とさせるようなリプライズが登場し、ストーンズがいかにこの日の演奏に満足していたのかを証明するかのように終えていました。
