 春の来日公演と比べるとツアー三日目の「ZURICH 2014」でも今のストーンズのライブ・サウンドが次のステップへ登り始めていたことが明らかとなっていましたが、このパリ公演ではさらにスピード感を増した演奏が随所で聴かれます。それどころか「ちょっと飛ばしすぎじゃない?」と突っ込みを入れたくなるくらいに演奏が走るのがこの日のライブの魅力でしょうか。その最たる例が「Bitch」、東京ドーム初日のテイクと比べても比べ物にならないほどの疾走感が伝わってきます。さらにスピーディなのが「Out Of Control」でしょう。チューリッヒの時と比べても、さらに演奏が早くなっていて、ミックの歌もそれに合わせて飛ばし気味となっているほど。それもこの日ならではの場面でした。ただしそういった演奏のスピード感がすべての曲で生かされているかと言えばそうでもなく、スローな「Wild Horses」などはここでの演奏がむしろせわしない調子に聴こえます。その辺りはむしろドーム初日のテイクのような落ち着きのある演奏の方がむしろ曲にふさわしい雰囲気だったのではないでしょうか。
 しかし「Doom And Gloom」は相変わらず危うさがチラつく演奏で、ちょうど一年前にアメリカで披露していた頃の勢いと安定感はどこへ行ってしまったのでしょう?まるで「One More Shot」とセットで演奏されないと落ち着かない、とでも言いたげなほどです。それにこれだけ勢いのある演奏が連発される日ですので、キースの「Can’t Be Seen」のもたつき感がかえって癒しを感じさせてくれます(笑)。それはともかくとして、やはりこの日のライブから放たれる疾走感は格別。ミック・テイラーが加わる「Midnight Rambler」ですか、ここでの彼のギターのキレ具合がまた実に素晴らしい。もしかしたら2014年の「Rambler」の中でもベストでは?と思えるほどテイラーのリード・ギターが冴え渡っていました。ところがこの曲のテンポが落ちてブレイクを決める場面では意外と息が合わないのがご愛嬌。あらゆる意味で日本公演とは違うノリが楽しめる一日を捉えた極上音源と言えるでしょう。
