テーパーrober953によって録音されたもう一つのストーンズ・ライブ音源 も今回CD化が実現します。こちらもまた2003年の来日公演を収めたもので、東京ドーム二日目のオーディエンス録音が武道館と同時にシェアされました。それと同様にこちらの録音もややこもった録音状態が特徴なのですが、そこへリマスター処理を施すことによって武道館以上に元の状態が俄然聞きやすい状態へと生まれ変わっています。こちらの録音はこもり気味ということに加えてメリハリを欠いた印象も受けるフラットな状態だったのですが、そういった状態も今回のリリースにおいて施したリマスターが功を奏し、劇的と言っても過言ではない聴きやすさを実現しています。

　そもそもこの日のライブ音源に関しては当店が今年リリースして瞬く間にSold Outとなった「TOKYO DOME 2003 SECOND NIGHT」の存在が記憶に新しいところ。音像のオンなバランスという点においてそちらに軍配が上がるのは間違いないのですが、その録音が音像の近さと裏腹にクローズな質感に聴こえるのに対し、今回の音源にリマスターを加えたところ、非常に広がりのある聴きやすい音質となりました。いかにも東京ドームらしい広がりのある臨場感、それでいて演奏の輪郭がぼやけることのない録音状態がリマスターによってさらに輝きを増しています。よって「TOKYO DOME 2003 SECOND NIGHT」とは正反対の音質が楽しめることでしょう。
　このように今回の録音ですが、全体的にはオンな音像と言うよりもドームならではの奥行きを感じさせる録音状態となっています。歓声が遠くの方からゆっくりと押し寄せるかのような独特の臨場感は何とも聴き心地の良いもの。それにステージから一定の距離を置いて録音された状態ですので、ライブがBステージに移ってからも音質の変化がなく、そのままの安定感で聴き通せるのがまた大きな魅力でしょう。前回「TOKYO DOME 2003～」はこの箇所になると音が片側に寄ってしまうきらいがあり、今回の録音の安定感を好まれる方も多いかと思います。
　ここまでに挙げた、奥行きと広がりを感じさせる独特の質感を総合的に評するとなれば、それはライトな音質の魅力とでも言いましょうか。聞いていただければそのライトな音質の味わいを理解してもらえると思いますが、ライトハウスらしいライトな音質（笑）が「TOKYO DOME 2003～」とはまったく違う魅力と言える2003年来日公演の新音源をプレスCDにて収録しました。そして開演前の様子を長く捉えてみせた点もrober953の録音ならではのドキュメント性が魅力と言え、あの日の興奮を蘇らせてくれること間違いなし。今回も限定のリリースとなります、2003年の東京ドーム二日目、その新たなオルタネイト・マスターをどうぞお見逃しなく！
